Deck Description

Tempest, now here is a dark set. Quite strong, and unique because it was a set that actually was based and designed around one color: Black. Tempest is a very valuable set, Booster Boxes ranging in price from $250 to almost $300 dollars depending on the market and who is willing to pay. With Wasteland being an Uncommon, I am sure no one will mind. Tempest was also the beginning of the Slivers.

Enjoy! Please Comment and let me know what sets you would like to see next!

Deck discussion for What You Need: Tempest Edition

With Grindstone at about $30 and Intuition at $20 you start to see why its so expensive. Wasteland is a $10 Uncommon.

It was designed by Mark Rosewater, and yes it did have a overshadowing Black theme to it. Most of the better cards werent Black, but the set was designed to focus on the oppression and hate thats goes with Black. Slivers werent the main focus either, if it was, it would have been horrible.

Aw Tempest... this is one of the sets that got me into Magic when I was a kid. Have loved this set ever since and still keep a black deck that I built years ago till this day. Even my girlfriend runs Cursed Scroll in every deck she can because it was such a great card. Seeing this takes me back, thanks.
