Tezzeret Control DeckWin Conditions:- Sword of the Meek + Thopter Foundry = swarm of thopters- Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas can either punch with 5/5 artifacts or ultimate for plenty of damage
Tactics:- The deck does not play any 1-cost cards, so try to get a Chalice of the Void on the table for 1 counter as early as possible. That will ruin the day for most decks in this format.- Use Transmute Artifact to search for any other artifacts you need- Tezzeret doesn't mulligan very well and relies heavily on being able to mana ramp quickly to a planeswalker. Hopefully in round 2. Poor Match Ups- Jund is probably the worst match- up for Tezzeret. Tezzeret has little removals and few creatures. Tezzeret truly hates Abrupt Decay, as it takes out Ensnaring Bridge and neither Challice nor Force of Will can do anything about it. Since Tezzeret have few creatures, it struggles to mount a defence without Ensnaring Bridge.- Zoo is simply too fast, and Tezzeret have a big problem with Gaddock Teeg. Having Quasali Pridemages in mainboard and Ancient Grudge in sideboard adds more pain.Good Match Ups- Reanimator. You have plenty of hate against Reanimator. Just put Challice on one, and Reanimator has lost half its deck. Force of Will is a great advantage to take out the rest. The same is Nihil Spellbomb.- DragonStompy struggles to play around your Ensnaring Bridge in round 1. And you put more Ensnaring Bridge in round 2 to offset artifact removals. - Death&Taxes also struggles with Ensnaring Bridge. Just watch out for Oblivion Ring and Flicker Wisp.- Patriot struggles like all decks which relies on 1 mana cost. You put Challice on 1, and the deck is almost shut out of the game.- Elves struggle with a Challice on 1, and the sideboard leaves plenty of ways to make life miserable for the elves.
