Pretty simple. Sac your Shadowborn Apostles and get Rune-Scarred Demon or another demon of your choice. With Athreos out they can't keep talking 3 life and have to give you them back to your hand. This of course makes you a big target on the field.

Circle of Despair might be worthwhile, too.
Orzhov Scion and Ogre Slumlord are nice. I think they are pretty interchangeable between Rotlung, depending on what kind of decks I might be going up against.I will see what I can take out for Circle of Despair, gives more protection.
The more creatures that kick six tokens in a swing the merrier, I say.Is Attrition worth running? I ran it for awhile in my variant on this but it always seemed like between Martyr's Bond, Grave Pact and Dictate it was redundant.
It's decent. Nice and cheap removal but I can't get rid of any black creatures sadly. I plan to take out after a few more runs. So far it is sitting at 40% helpful. Black Market is another card I am thinking of replacing. Most of the time I don't even need the extra mana.
Same thing happens to me with every deck I try Black Market in; it gets some absurd amount of counters on it and they wind up not really mattering.
Black market is only good if you run a few x spells/draw a lot of cards/Mana sinks.

I had that in but took it out for Faith's Reward. For 1 more mana (and 1 less white) it gives me back all of my cards and not my opponents.
What about Ranger of Eos? everytime it enters/recurs it gets you two more apostles?
That is true, another good card to try and fit in.
You said above you may replace black market, you really don't have anything to pair black market with. Also they're both 4 drops so the curve doesn't change.
You could also run Suture Priest, since you're going to keep pushing Shadowborn Apostles into play and deterring opponents from playing anything.
I did forget about this card. I want to do some playtesting and this might be a good card to add if I need more life.
I only remembered about it by effect; it was a pain trying to remember its name, but it should be interesting if you need another deterrent with them also taking Athreos damage.
Updated two cards. Added in Ranger of Eos and Circle of Despair. They are taking Attrition and Black Market spots.I still want to try out Suture Priest and Ogre Slumlord.
