Yeah I don't think I'll use paperstrips. I'll just note it on the side. I've also found paper in the sleeve in front of a card damages the sleeves too

I will certainly be playtesting this more so I'll be able to see how quietus spike stacks up but so far I have some good results with it

Yeah. In my play testing I've found it worth the search from stoneforge and defintely comes up faster even with compleat or batterskull. Even though it gets less and less as you do more damage halving is very fast. But it wins when my opponent gains life which they will do if I have to exile something to solitude.

Also I swapped out Inquisition for Undying Evil as it gives me more 1 drops to keep Grief on the field after Evoking it. Added 3 Malakir Rebirth for the same reason.
And I'm trying Solitude instead of prismatic ending but I'm still not sure if I like either of those changes. Just testing them out.

The quietus spike reduces the opponents life quicker. With Quietus spike I can get the opponent down to 7 on turn 3. I wanted to go for a faster version of stoneblade with more of an aggro / tempo idea.

Turn 1 - Evoke Grief and Ephemerate
Turn 2 - Stone forge, Find Quietus spike, attack for 3
Turn 3 - Sigarda's Aid, Cheat in Quietus spike, trigger equip to Grief, attack for 3, trigger opponent goes down to 7 from 14.

I decided to go up to a 4th inquisition instead of the vendilion clique.

Now that you mention it I can definitely agree with going down to 3. What would you put in place?

Yes, the archetype has just been played more in modern.

k so I took out the reclaims, fetches, and reduced some other things for Silence, Tendrils, Cephalid Coliseum, and a couple helm of awakening. Helm is beautiful in this deck with so many 1 drops, all my draw artifacts would be free and Sunrise/faith would easily fall under lotus bloom. Not to mention, Sunrise could be dropped from mana fixing with eggs if I really need to. Can Also reshape for 1 or 2 drops without having to pay extra. This looks like it could be much more consistent and easier to combo off without fizzling.
Will be testing soon

Lion's Eye Diamond would not really be that great considering you have to discard your hand so you can't play anything and would lose the second sunrise / faith's reward in your hand. I can see a very nice benefit to crop rotation which I will consider. And yes I know this deck is out of modern as I clearly stated in the description.

Its a very complicated combo deck called eggs. You see it a lot in modern. The idea is to cycle your sac & draw artifacts and use bauble to loop second sunrise infinitely. Pyrite spellbomb then gets caught up in this loop and bounces between grave and play for infinite damage. I'm kinda busy right now but when i get a chance, I'll post a link for you.

I would recommend Hands of binding for some regular ( and free ) tapdown as well
as feeling of dread. You want to make sure you can consistently keep your opponent's
creatures tapped. Also, do you really need tezzeret's gambit? What else gets counters
besides Gideon's Avenger?

Feel free to check out my esper tapdown deck:

Thanks for the comment!
added playsets of doomed traveler for the extra token generation and wayfaring temple
as the big beater.

I would recommend focusing more on your mirrormad seance labmaniac combo.
find some enchantment return in case you have trouble grabbing hold of seance
then get rid of most of your non-mill and run cards like dream twist or increasing
confusion. Also, you may want to think about running green for things like arbor elf,
tracker's instincts, or mulch.

Nice deck,
If it wasn't mono-black I'd say put in a sunblast angel.
Its kinda fun when somebody taps all their creatures and you drop a spell that kills them all :)

Looks awesome!
One thing I would suggest is running a celestial mantle or perhaps a war report that you can drop after you play storm herd.

Made a couple changes,
threw in some search lands for quicker run through the deck.
Added Dawn Charm
Added Kami, of False Hope to sac and return with Emeria
Speaking of Emeria, added two more of those
Added Gemstone Array
Added Children of Korlis. Same thing as Kami but also works for loss of life.
