Cool looking deck. It seems like it may be slow for the first couple turns, but then gets out of hand quickly. My Vampire deck started out as red/black but just ended up mono black. This make me think about playing with red a little bit.

Yes, I agree that it seems to be slow but there are seven cards which mana cost's is one and they usually can be drawn at the beginning. Secondly, yes you should use red cards especially instants and sorceries on vampire decks
