I saw the Puresteel Paladin card and had to build a deck around it. Pretty straight forward...
Most decks use nonbasic lands, so put the boots on a double strike along with the trepanation blade and the flail, and swing for, hopefully, the win. The anvil helps get the heartseeker out cheaper, and really helps out with a paladin in play. The hawks are early chump blockers, but can also be good deterrents if equipped.
