Equip This (Please Comment)

well. Although I do really like the deck, stoneforge mystic is banned in standard, which explains why i suppose it's an extended deck. xD rofl

however, i for one am not a fan of 1 of's of anything unless you can tutor for them, and i'm not exactly sure that you can as well as you think you'll be able to.

3x argentum armor is a lot, 6 down 6 equip is a lot to be dealing with, prototype portal is nice, and so is symblence anvil, but what i'd like to see the most in here is a lot more control, maybe some day, condemn, journey, etc (i'm a standard player, so i mostly only can remmeber those cards.)

then play 4x mimic vat and 4x dismember
being able tutor up at 3 cost every turn, and have it have haste so you can drop it on the battlefield would make running 4 batterskulls easy beyond reason, as it's easily the best target for SFM, i don't see why not. Plus, dismember will do a lot of good for other things too. :)

so maybe try dropping some 1of equipments and running more of what you consider the "best" ones. the same goes for creatures (and honestly, i'd pick some of the newer ones like mirran crusader (doublestrike pro 2 colors) and porcelain legionnaire.

though i do love the idea! and SFM and puresteel are meant to be together! :D I like it very, very, very much. :) huge fan. equipments are my thing. I have a whole equip EDH deck built around kemba kha. :P haha

also, if you ever need a place to playtest before you go shelling out all that cash on those cards, check out cockatrice.de, it's a free online magic program that lets you play with as many cards as you want for free and lets you deck build and play against real people. :) it's cool. :)

yeah, the steelshapers gift is sweet with stoneforge. Your dudes are gonna get targeted fast, no matter where you play, your puresteel is a big threat, if it's flying around.

I have a deck right now that only uses puresteel as a draw engine, and then wispersilk cloaks, darksteel plates and orges cleavers, and then put them on a goblin gaveleer. Ragesauce on everybody. stoneforge is good, and stone hewer is good, but he's really expensive. Another idea to try out might be glint hawks with your 0 drop artifacts to kick quest for holy relic and fetch argentum armor out. I personally would cut a lot of the equipment that ends up being dead weight.
i would look for things that hit hard fast. Stoneforge allows for a big'ol 4/4 lifelink vigilencer to fly around pissing everybody off as early as turn three. Rage with that idea, it's not as big as emrakual. but batterskull is basicly the best equipment ever printed. Run it in an equipment deck. Stoneforge has the same casting cost as a demonic tutor, for the best equipment ever printed. Think about how powerful that is. argentum armor, while it rages very clearly, isn't that good unless you're cheating it around in which case find a way to do that all the time.
The thought of shakari dude with puresteel is scary, but it's easy to kill too. 4 mana kills everything, and you don't have any thing to make those two live through a board sweep. work on that. Refine this deck. keep every cost under 4. nothing can be very expensive, this is a version of white weenie. Think of all the tutoring, fetching, and extra drawing you can do. and then do it. That's my advice.
