Deck Description

This deck is a quiet beast. It gives people fits and is a blast to play. The Nihil Spellbombs are extremely relevent to the current Standard meta, as well as providing some early draw. The wellsprings provide some huge card advantage, along with becoming great 5/5 beat-sticks that even give value when they die. One of my favorite moves is to swing with a Wurmcoil Engine, then sac it to Phyrexia's Core and exile it to Mimic Vat! Having Phyrexia's Core makes it very difficult for your opponenet to exile any of your troublesome artifacts, as you can just sac them to the core. I also have played games where I cast (and sac'd) Spine of Ish Sah 6 or 7 turns in a row! As I said, the deck is a blast to play and I would reccomend it to anyone looking for something a little different to play around with.

Deck discussion for Tezzeret control

how do you survive the burn?

Phyrexia's Core and Pristine Talisman's life gain really adds up in the early game. UsuaBy turn six I almost always have a Wurmcoil out which is a huge problem for burn decks.

Also, Tezzeret shows up on turn 4 and makes a 5/5 beater that usually draws the burn away from me. I only need a couple turns before the deck gets out of hand. Also an unchecked Tezzeret can ultimate for 4 loyalty counters and I can have 4-7 artifacts out by then which provides some substantial life gain.

Ya tezzeret has a game ending ultimate thats fast but in the meta game where im from he wouldnt survive theres too many ways he would die wurmcoil and pristine talisman however would actually prove far more challenging

Pristine Talisman is just amazing. It ramps, it gains you life, in this deck it really shines. If you're in a meta with a lot of burn, I might suggest Witchbane Orb. That shuts down all direct damage against you. It won't save Tezzeret, but he's not the only way the deck wins. I find the beauty of this build to be that it's really interchangeable. Most of the 1-drop artifacts are in there because ot the specific decks I face at my local FNM. But, you can use almost any artifacts in those slots. I've even considered a 1-of Omen Machine to slow down all the draw/control out there...like I said, choose what works best for your situation and go with that. If you're not limited to the Standard format (like I am), then your options are endless...

I've been looking to make a Tezeret Deck for ages, this will definitely be used as a basis for that, looks very nice!

I think Mimic Vat is so under rated. Slip Phyrexian Metamorph in it and go to town!
This reminded me to add Phyrexia's Core's to one of my decks, thanks!
