Deck discussion for Ultimate Vampire

I've had a love for the vamps since Zendikar and I absolutely love this deck XD not only is it vamps, but they're AFFORDABLE ( or, MORE affordable than other vamp decks). I'll have to get these and tweak it a little bit for my own tastes, but for the most part, good job. (round of applause)

In my opinoin (don't judge me) vampires are the best for starters because there to simple to use...sometimes. It's a instant win with vampires & you don't get to see the other player(s) deck(s) & learn from them. If your just starting Magic then thats fine, but if you've been playing for a while, mix it up a little & even if you win or loose with your diffrent decks, that'll make you try to get better unlike vampires over & over that everyone knows your deck left & right.

Yes you're right, they're great for beginners... but you'd be amazed how badly vampires can be played; I'm not saying I'm experienced. I started in 7th edition and was introduced to vampires when M11 came out. I got some good pulls, made some good trades for Sorin and that's when I made my vampire deck. You're right that people know my deck left and right; so shouldn't that mean they can build to beat? None-the-less... Vampires are always fun to play, the one that people hate to play is my Goblins... it's more predictable then my Vampires.

Thanks for the comment! Good Luck!

More bloodchief ascension and more kalastria highborn. Hexmage should only be sideboard as not everyone plays planeswalkers. Another Vampire Nocturnus (its not a legendary!!!! get your vampires +4/+2) More pulse trackers imo for cheapness and for bloodchief acsension. Assassin isn't needed that much imo (as you are trying to gain control of your opponent's creatures not kill them!!!!!) and neither is revenant, Kalastria Bloodchief. Replace one of those with another Malakir bloodwitch (which seems to be your finisher, an 8/6 if you get both nocturnus on field with ability kicking off). Replace the other one with: Sanguine bond. With highborne, that thing is just way too good! Or replace it with another Nocturnus, because I have 4 and getting all 4 on the field is just amazing! Especially with a nighthawk on the field. I don't have enough vamps to make a GOOD vampire deck only though....

I rarely use my bloodchief ascensions or my kalastria highborn... hexmages are sick cards, firstrike 2/1 for 2 black is awesome!! vampire nocturnus is t1 which i'm trying to stay away from... therefore i only have 1 of them in this deck, which i'll soon be trading away for another card; i just haven't found the right card to replace it with. malakir bloodwitch is amazing for this deck because i play multiplayer and 1v1, and when i play bloodwitch in multiplayer... i gain a shit ton of life and they all lose life :D

anyways, keep commenting everyone!

i see that all of these people are singing the praises of highborn and honestly i cant see how they are better than others like child of night. yes, its a french vanilla 2/1, however, it gains you a ton of life starting turn two, and is ridiculous with captivating vampire. that is my only suggestion.
