Deck Description

Biovisionary FTW

Rush him onto the battlefield so he can champion your deck and lead you to victory.

How to Play

Aim of the game, bring out Biovisionary four times. They can be the actual card itself or glorious copies, which make this deck so tantalising.

Combos:
1. Biovisionary, Phantasmal Image, Infinite Reflection, Cytoshape and Polymorphous Rush (sideboard) - Simple enough, bring out Biovisionary and copy him.

2. Biovisionary and Body Double - Opponent has sent several of your Bivisionaries to the graveyard? Don't fret, play Body Double to create a copy of a card from your graveyard.

3. Drift of Phantasm and Muddle the Mixture - Transmute to search for Biovisionary.

4. Prophet of Kruphix - This card places pressure on your opponent because it allows you to essential end the game during your turn or his/her's by giving all creature cards flash and allowing you to untap all lands and creatures during opponents untap phase.

All other cards work towards draw chance, hexproof or creatures that can be used as vessels for duplicating.

As always help, advice or even just ideas are welcome. Enjoy.

Deck discussion for Biovisionary Rush

I just can't figure Biovisionary out. No, I know how it works...I have tried to build a deck myself, is what I mean. And I can't seem to get it to work. Ours are very close. Do not take this the wrong way...but I think both your deck and my version...they just aren't quite right. Not sure what is missing or isn't right...they just feel off.

Here is mine:

Not sure I feel the Body Double...there are quicker ways to get copies in play. Have you tested the deck, how does it do against other decks? I tried to add bounce to stall my opponent/or bounce my stuff back to my hand (versus letting them die and then reclaim them via Body Double). My deck still isn't working...since your deck was very close, i was interested in how it did.

Well I feel Biovisionary has too much of a target on it, so essentially when I get him into play he is targeted by any and all removal cards (path to exile, doom blade, even damnation sometimes...). This is why I put Renegade Doppelganger into my sideboard because I figured the key is to bring them all out within a turn or two (max 3 or you run the risk of having to replace ones lost) so Doppelganger can be harmless to begin with then bring out Biovisionary and you have two.

The way I try to play this deck is to have 1 Doppelganger, 1 Biovisionary and either 1 Transmute card or 1 Phantasmal Image this way I can rush the cards onto the battlefield. I found that Prophet of Kruphix helps with this combo because your creatures have flash not to mention the mana resources you gain but it does slow down play a bit but then again this deck doesnt seem to play exceedingly fast. However, I do like your inclusion of Sylvan Caryatid giving extra mana and hexproof for 2CMC which can easily be used as a copy, as well as the idea of bouncing Biovisionary instead of using Body Double. I may have to look into that.

For the time being I do not have Doubling Chant but really want to buy it and place it in this deck as it is essentially an insta-win with Simic Charm. Question, Doubling Chant does allow you to search for ALL cards with the same name and put them into play? The only other question this becons is whether or not it is more viable to turn the deck into a defensive deck as to add cards that will search for Doubling Chant, however I still need to research this idea.

Here are the official rules regarding Doubling Chant:

9/22/2011 The cards you find in your library must be creature cards. For example, you can't put a land card onto the battlefield even if it has the same name as a land you control that's also a creature (perhaps because of an ability of that land).
9/22/2011 If you control a creature whose name has been changed by an effect (for example, a Clone that's copying another creature), you'll search for a card with the new name, not one with the original name.
9/22/2011 If you control no creatures when Doubling Chant resolves, you may still search your library and you must shuffle your library.

As I said...it needs work, lol.
But I sure hope you get it to working, it is a very neat idea. I know my deck didn't work.

Good luck!
