I love this site. Made an account in mere minutes after my first search.
I love this idea. Having taken a decent amount of time out of my life to analyze and figure out the Modern meta, I've seen that each deck has a strength and a weakness. It's very difficult to find a balance between consistency, counters and wincons, especially in Modern, which is an oddly restrictive format when it comes to a "jack-of-all-trades" decklist. However, I think this deck is probably about as close to one as you can get on paper. I'd be interested to see how it really performs, though. All in all, well done.
Absolutely, I might want to lower the Mycoloth count to something more like 3, but 4 might be the best option. I'll have to playtest it some first, then maybe make some changes afterward.
You would lose the game by forcing yourself to draw from an empty library, which is an automatic loss. Yes, you would lose the game to your opponent, but that's optional, just to keep with the absurdity of this combo and deck.

You are immune. You never actually activate the search function, so the Archive Trap would cost the full 5 CMC to play.
I have been doing some playtesting with this deck online, and it's easily competitive in modern. I've seen some Hardened Scales players make top 8 and even top 4 in the Mythic Championship running almost this exact deck.
That sounds like a good idea for a thing for us to do and for a movie line or a show
