Deck Description

I've always liked wolves, so I'm glad to see them becoming their own tribe. This is my take on Wolves =]

I know...Elves make Wolf tribal so much better is the thing. Well, those elves at least =/

Love the Ozzy reference. Wolves are pretty awesome, especially lotsa them.

How about Feed the Pack? It creates wolves and also works well with Young Wolf.

I think if I designed a deck around that, it would be made a whole lot differently =/

Considering the deck is mono green, maybe replace the birds with llanowar elves. It'll make it easier to champion with the packmaster and to set off kinship on the shaman.

That's true, but there's a few reasons for me not to use Llannys. For one, with my store's tribal format, too many elves would make this an elf deck =/

The other thing is that the birds provide a little extra defense against flyers =]

Yes, usually Bird of Paradise ends up dying under a flying truck. In our game there was only one time when they got revenge dropping a loxodon warhammer on the head of a player, killing him. That was hilarious.

I always love when a deck kills with their mana dork. It's something people rarely expect, but when it comes down to it, you should never count out the little guys...might just drop a huge ass hammer on your head =P

This looks fun lol. Can this be considered a tribal wolf though? There's almost no wolves aside from tokens? Young Wolf seems to be the only true wolf drop, aside from AA. Interesting all the same. Looks very fun. If you wouldn't mind, I'd appreciate some input on some new decks I'm putting together

Yeah, technically it does...though I will admit I'm tantalizing just about every limit of the qualifications =P

What are your thoughts on Skyshroud Claim vs. Harrow? Comes out a turn later, but the two forests come in untapped. If you had any basics besides forests I'd definitely stick with Harrow. Also if you're using this for Modern, which just occurred to me. I also like Might of the Masses/Echoing Courage for either early pump and often finishers. Lastly, I know you're trying to keep the elf count down, but Rhys the Redeemed is begging to be in here. :-)

Harrow is better for speed, Claim for stability. Harrow exchanges the speed boost of two lands early for a penalty later, and Claim is delayed in giving its boost, but does so with a different penalty, this time being it's at least a full turn later, and doesn't flow into a jump curve. Harrow, by the way, is a gorgeous accelerator in a ballsy jump curve.

Also, you have no idea how much I wish I could fit Rhys into this =P

Remember, you could always up the ante and go for a TRI-bal deck:

Sneaky deck. With that many creatures, Kessig Cagebreakers would be a worthwhile addition as well. Have any input for my Lich deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=297491

Cagebreakers, I think, would do much better in a nifty Human/Wolf hybrid tribal...maybe with some Werewolfy stuff too, but I dunno. I have seen awesome things done with Cagebreakers though =]

Nice deck bro. To be honest, I don't have any suggestions for this deck because it looks perfect. I really like how you use elves and wolves together in synergy to make an awesome wolf tribal! Keep on smillin =)

where is the mayor of avabruck? hes cheaper than the adaptive automaton and better once flipped.

I suppose you would have considered that though, and found that not casting spells is too hard.

Young Wolf is one of the sexiest commons I've seen in a long time :) Actually.. DA has a lot of damn nice commons o.o

At any rate, is chump blocking fliers really enough to justify BoP over Noble Hierarch?

Not really, but if I used Noble, i'd have too many humans =P

It's tricky working around the rules for my shop's Tribal format =]

I must've counted somethin else. Well...Still unsure if I'd use her over the Birds. Exalted has little use in a token-heavy deck.

umm im just wondering, weres the mayor of avabrook!? he boosts the wolves even more when he transforms!

0

i would add mayors and immerwolf because both are great cards for the pump for your creatures. plus, immerwolf will keep your wolves as wolves without the worry of them transforming.

Apparently so did a number of other people, but I kind of find Werewolves a bit boring. My buddy DoTheWumpus wants to take a stab at making them less boring, but eh...I like Wolf token spam much more =]

I must say its not my kind of deck, i love wolves and sadly it is mainly humans/elves :( lol but i do love the potential amount of token it can produce :)
Overall once it gets going it will be hard to beat. Well done :D

if you get some spare time please check out my werewolf deck :) its my favourite so far and i wanna tweak it to take it to FNM and hopefully some tournaments sometime :) if you could it would much appreciated.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. I could have made a straight wolf tribe with just a bunch of wolf creatures, but I felt that the swarm of wolf tokens way of doing it was more akin to how wolves hunt in packs. If there was a wolf creature (like a lord or something) that made as many wolves as the humans/shaman/elves do I'd switch it out in a heartbeat =/
