That's the first one I did, and it's the cheapest... My new one is going to cost about 1200 US, and I'm unemployed right now, and REFUSE to sell my guitar.
If you play, NEVER sell a Jackson. The neck is like crack, you fall in looove with the compound radius, especially if you play stuff like I do.

The hell makes it cost so damn much? That's insane.

Also, I don't play, but my buddy does so I know the greatness of a Jackson =P
He's the 7th deck in the gauntlet. "Four dead in Ohio"...clearly the guy likes his classics =]

woooooah dude, no. Those are playsets! Those are just the most expensive playsets from reanimator, the whole deck is basically money cards though, which is why it costs so much

Hmmm...Not sure why but I always thought FoW was around that price per. Not complaining =P

I'm admittedly not up to date with the prices of most older cards, because I got the majority of them a looooooooong time ago, often when the set was still out.

Remember how back then the only way people found out about cards was by playing against people who bought the new set/buying the new set? Remember how everyone shat themselves when they first saw FoW?

Good times =P

actually FoW has been in tournament use since I started MtG, the only thing I got to say before a lot of people realized it was Stoneforge... I've not really been playing all that long, I just kind of dove head first into legacy lol

Starting your experience in MtG with legacy takes balls man, no joke.

Agreed on Stoneforge, my buddy bought a playset back when they were like...4 bucks.

FoW is actually around $70 per. They shot up recently. So I've heard.

Actually FoW is closer to $80. Underground Sea's hit $110-120. My Legacy countertop deck I'm in the middle of making is already at the $600 mark, and I've only got 1 of the duals. :X

Yeah this is the newest one for Legacy. So far testing it, it's my best one yet. This thing is BRUTAL, and it trashed a Lands deck too!

Due Respect and Mental Misstep, along with Surgical Extraction preventing Life from the Loam from having its "safe period" just destroy Lands. I'm pretty damn happy about it.

(Then raggedjoe had to go and make a better aggro threat than Goblins...so that's nice...-_-)

Hmm interesting, I'm not sure I like it on paper, seems a bit too much extra stuff. I don't think Stax and CB should be in the same deck TBH, seems silly to have them both since you don't really have room for both to be good. Both locks need more support than ur giving them... I might drop Stax for a full CB package.

Memoricide is bleh, grab another extraction.

Temporal also seems a bit of a miss... BBBB in a 3 color deck? I would love to see Bob here, or Mme Vess

1

So far I can use both of them very effectively when I want to, and they provide a nice synergy lock IMHO. Counter damn near everything, and what does come into play gets sacrificed? On paper I suppose they do look like they clash, but I haven't seen that happen yet. If all of a sudden they start becoming problematic, I might make some changes.

Memoricide and Temporal only go on the Panoptic Mirror, I never directly play them. Those things on a Panoptic is just absurd.

Mem - Every upkeep ripping out every copy of another key card? This destroys decks.

Temporal - I get infinite turns, or you die.

I'd say nice deck, but then I could also say that you are doing overkill with all the extraction decks. First you, with probably almost 10 extraction decks, almost a new one on the upcoming page every week or less. Now everybody else thinks that it is so awesome to do extraction, and eventually a lot of other people will start making all kinds of exctraction decks. extraction, while being made of Chuck Noriss's epochness and powdered horn of Satan, will eventually start to get old.

0

Thanks man. I know I've been on an Extraction kick lately, but I think I'm basically done making them for a while. I'm not sure what I'll be making next, but it probably won't be Extraction. =]

I know it might start to get old for people, but Extraction is back with a vengeance, even being viable in Standard! So it's just a simple fact: there's gonna be a lot of Extraction.

Speaking of reanimator; I also hate the fact that I lost all my good legacy decks from 5 years ago, especially my reanimator with entomb and all those kind of cards...

If you are interested, here is how the deck you commented before turned out:

I'm in no way saying this is a horrible deck, but besides Creeping Tar Pit to block with and Smokestack to for removal, how can you defeat someone if they play at least two creatures before you get Smokestack really established?
Sorry, I've been playing a long time and maybe i'm just missing a huge piece of the puzzle...

Trinisphere and the SB, as well as some other cards deal with creature decks just fine. Affinity is a challenge because it is just that damn fast, but otherwise I've never been worried about creatures.

0
Posted 29 April 2011 at 19:57

Hmmm, I'm still not sold on the deck, I see White Weenie, Elves, and Affinity to be a problem if built correctly, but none-the-less it's still a good deck

0

Affinity, especially raggedjoe's design, is a nightmare. I might have to adapt my SB a bit to handle them, as right now it's very tough. WW and elves usually have a lord, or something that gives them more power. Rip those out and it really is just that, weenies...at that point you'll take some damage sure, but then you can quickly dispatch them. For Elves I've found that taking out key mana dorks RUINS the early game, which is where elves mostly strive, especially against this deck, which is basically unbeatable late game. Thoughtseize a Llanowar first turn and they lost that special jump they needed. Extirpate it and they're struggling. If you look at most powerful elf decks, they 'jump' in mana...1 - 3 - 6 - 8/10 Stop the jumps, stop the deck.

Goblins used to be a hard match-up for Extraction, but lately they're not that bad really. Due Respect makes the damage spike strategy of Goblins completely ineffective and BSZ...well you know. =P

Lands was the hardest deck for Extraction for a long time, but recent new cards has basically made this once threat non-existant. Now, new designs in Affinity, again mostly raggedjoe's (seen like 5 netdecks of it so far), are becoming Extraction's newest danger.

Dude... you want to see something completely retarded? Mental Misstep is a $4 - $5 uncommon (for now). Before you click the link, guess how much this guy paid for a play set of foils.

I guessed 30, so wasn't too far off. Still that's just crazy. It is a powerful card against both Extraction and Reanimator, but still...

0
Posted 30 April 2011 at 19:38

... I would feel stupid paying that much for Underground Sea...

Mental Misstep, while a powerful anti-meta card, is NOT worth that much, foil or not. I could go and pre-order everything I want from New Phyrexia with that!

0
Posted 30 April 2011 at 23:18

Final bid: $155. There's another auction, current bid $183, with 23 hours to go. I could go buy a box for half that much, and likely open 3x non-foil Mental Misteps, and have PLENTY enough trading power to get a fourth.

Luckily Surgical Extraction is floating around $10. On par with Extirpate, though I expect it to rise a bit after the launch party. The ability to cast it without paying any mana is almost too good. I'm loving these Phyrexian mana symbols :)

nice deck dude and you are correct you should add a lifes finale so you can wipe the board and extract also i noticed you have 1 torpor orb in sideboard i would reccomend main boarding some with no creatures anyway check out my phyrexia's grasp deck.

0

In my opinion, I think it costs to much for an Extraction deck. Damnation would be more suitable for the mana curve.

0
Posted 02 May 2011 at 00:17

It's a very high cost for what it does. Also, it just dumps a lot of things into the graveyard, and doesn't exile anything. In Legacy, pulling someone's bigger threats out of their library and putting them into the 'yard can be considered doing them a favor. Overall, I don't like Life's Finale.

Torpor Orb suits games against a specific group of decks and it does very well for that role, but for when I don't play that group, it is much better off in the SB.

0
Posted 02 May 2011 at 02:24

Goblins go BOOM! No Siege-Gang/Matron bull... Torpor is an amaaazing card in so many MU's, even against Reanimator! No Iona, no Woodfall/Elephant triggers, and in my case, no Painter's Servant.

Card is going to be hella obnoxious...

0
Posted 02 May 2011 at 03:56

Mostly it can crush goblins. Sadly, Goblins are no longer the aggro danger to Extraction, now it's Affinity =/

Chalice helps...But only so much.

Oh, and Torpor Orb just takes a crap on certain Reanimator designs...(sorry)
