Deck Description

WOOOOOOHOOOOO! My centurial deck! A thank you to everyone who's been around for these 100 freakin' decks!

A special thanks to:

Aaboy66 - A great guy who makes great decks. His recent promise to begin his own super-unique decks has me excited. I am a fan =]

WhiteAndBlueTheyKillYou - This guy's been commenting on my decks since the start, and still offers his advice. His evil control decks are something to behold.

backtotheprimitiv - Probably the most "eloquent" poster I've seen on this site. His comments are always well written and well thought out, so when he has something to say, you know it will be a worth-while read.

SavajCabbaj - Not only does he have a cool name, but his comments are often quite comical, yet often very helpful at the same time. A quick skim through his MANY decks shows a unique level of understanding of deck mechanics.

fluffstar - Good 'ol Fluff. This guy is amazing, and just cheers you up whenever he posts. Friendly to everyone on the site, and always willing to offer his advice.

raggedjoe - Ragged is an outstanding deck builder. Some of his decks have flat-out amazed me by their speed and consistency. He's also a constant voice on the vault, posting comments and suggestions wherever it is needed/asked for.

Mr._Aqua - Another wonderful deck builder. A great and helpful poster who shows his great maturity even in his smaller posts. Here and there, Mr. Aqua will occasionally post an absolutely MASSIVE comment and/or suggestion. The amazing thing is, these aren't rambling posts, they're chock-full of helpful ideas and explanations. Consider yourself lucky if you get one of these "Post-zillas".

DedWards - If you have a Deck Challenge, Ded will make a deck for it. Not only that, but the deck he makes will be completely unorthodox and unique. He is a frequent poster on the vault forums, and offers his help wherever he can.

Lelouch32 - Mostly a presence on the Vault Forums, he is an excellent writer, in both his articles and in just everyday comments. He was one of the inspirations for me to become an article writer.

BrianBell - A very helpful poster here and the "Yoda" of token decks, specifically fungus. His helpful comments have helped me all the way through my 99th deck!

Thank you to everyone! For this one I'd like everyone to post their 1 favorite card, 2 questions you want to ask me, and your 3 favorite decks. So 1, 2, 3...

PARTY!! =]

Fumiko, the Lowblood is my favourite card.
Had it in a red/white samurai deck I had about three years ago. It wasn't a great deck, I only played casually back then, but its one of my favourites, I'm going to remake it on the site soon.
My favourite deck of yours is probably.. I'd tap that.

Stompy means that you use mana to its perfect efficacy every turn. Wasted mana is "shameful". It's one of the reasons that stompy is so fast. Additionally, stompy is big and ugly for as low a cost as you can find. The modern day stompy staple creature is Leatherback Baloth. It has no abilities at all, but in my standard stompy it's on the field turn 2 as a 4/5. The first stompy staple was Rogue Elephant...a 3/3 for 1 green that made you sac. the land you used for it. As far as I know, this card is where stompy got its name. In a Simpsons episode, a "rogue elephant" named Stompy is terrorizing the town.

Stompy is obviously mono-green. (Even Metal-Stomp is still green)

Stompy also almost never has anything that costs more that 4-5 mana. The exception to this is things that allow you to cheat them in, or VERY RARELY things that are like...6 mana but are very powerful in the deck. Again, this is rare and you need to be positive it's ok. Even then, only 2 of them could be allowed in. There's been some in the past, but the new best one in my opinion is Khalni Hydra.

Stompy usually has lots of crazy pumps. A stompy deck should be able to kill someone with it's "mana elf" if it wants to.

Stompy has some consequential card drawing. What this means is it forces the opponent to decide whether to get hit hard or give you card advantage. Old school stompy used Skull Clamp. Now that card is taken up by Infiltration Lens.

Now, to go back to the perfect mana effieciency thing. This doesn't just mean using every last bit of mana ever turn. It also means getting the most out of that mana. For example, in most cases a 2/2 or 2/3 for 3 is thought of as 1 or "1/2" wasted mana. Or a 1/1 for 2 is another 1 wasted mana.

So when you pay 3 mana for a 4/5 like Leatherback...well that's 3 mana "surplus" and none wasted.

Now, I've made the argument before that Naya (actual Naya, not just the colors associated.) could be loosely considered acceptable as Stompy despite being multicolored.

A prime example of this is Woolly Thoctar. He's essentially a backwards Leatherback Baloth.

Remember, this does not mean Naya is stompy. It simply means that some Naya-based decks could, in my opinion, be Stompy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My favorite Planeswalker is Nicol Bolas, hands down. He ATE another 'walker because he didn't like him. He put Alara back together because he felt like it, and wanted to see all the chaos! He's a ****ing DRAGON! Not to mention, the actual card forms of him are pretty damn powerful.
NICE JOB! I'm almost too 60 :(
Congratulations! Lets start:
1. My favorite card keeps changing as I make different decks. I still love wilt-leaf liege and everything else I have posted on other decks like this, but for now: Wurmcoil Engine. Its just way too freakin awesome.
2. My Questio: I actually have 2: Can you try to explain tempo to me again? And what are your 3 favorite decks and what is your favorite card (excluding Bloodghast :P) Actually, thats 3 questions but hey, i'm curious.
3. My three favorite decks...this is not chronological order, I love them all the same.
1. Artifact Rush
2. Mono Red Burn
3. Mill
honorable mention too:
A. Green/White Token
B. Mimic Vat Decks
My 3 favorite decks...
Pure Evil, Scar, and probably my Dirty Deck. I love all of my Stompy decks, but none as much as any of those.
Divinity of Pride was my favorite card up until Bloodghast was printed.
Tempo is a deck type where you use special cards/abilities to throw your opponent out of their own rhythm, or "tempo". You rush them, and frustrate them. Playing things on their turn is the main way this is done, which is why the fae with their Flash ability are so good for tempo. Actually, they're great for Tempo also because of the other abilities they have. Let's say for example that you just drew a card you needed, and I notice the look on your face. I play Vendillion Clique after you draw and look at your hand and put that card you needed on the bottom of your library. "Sorry, did you need that?"
Silence is a modern-day Tempo card. Ever been hit by Silence when you needed to play something? Yeah...Imagine an entire deck that does that. A friend of mine once described it nicely as "In a baseball game, the pitcher is in his wind-up while you're still walking to the plate."
Congrats Mr. Whynot! My meager 12 decks pale in your centennial shadow :-)
1. My favorite card is probably Panoptic Mirror... The possibilities are just so endless with that card.
2. The questions... How long have you been playing MTG and building decks? And what's your favorite color in MTG?
3. My favorite decks... Unfortunately I'm still new to MTG (only been doing this about 5 months) and I don't have the card base or funds to build all my decks, so I haven't gotten to play a lot of my decks. So, instead I stare longingly at certain decks I've built on here XD My favorites are, from favorite to 3rd favorite, Elvish Genesis-ish, Eldrazi Spawn Factory, and Like Moths to Flame (artifact fetch).
I have been playing for longer than I care to know. =P
Green or Black, but at the moment probably Green. All the other colors have weapons, technology, spells, etc. to win their battles for them. Green just mashes your face in and kills you the old fashioned way, and it works! =]
I agree... I'm on a Green kick myself. 5 out of my last 6 decks have had Green in them :-)
Also, if you don't mind me deck advertising on your 100th deck, have a look-see at my Elvish Genesis-ish deck? It's got some wonderful flavor I think you may enjoy :-)
1 favorite card
-Arcanis the Omnipotent has to be my favorite card. he's frikin amazing
-Squirrel nest has an honorable mension
2 questions.
-Do you have a favorite color in magic? mine would have to be blue. I like all of the colors, but I especially like the counterspells, the drawing, and playing things on other people's turn.
-What is your favorite kind of deck to play with? not colors nessesarilly but the type. I like Discard especially and Spirit tribal is really fun to, although i don't have one of those posted - so sad I know.
3 favorite decks in order
-Don't mean to advertise but my favorite decks would have to be my own
1. - my black blue discard deck. Unlike other discard decks it actually has some strategy and defense. it has enough creatures so that you have something to block with, but they also produce discarding effects.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=135462
2. -my black zombie deck. Unlike other zombie decks it actually has relevent cards that go well together. lets face it, Gravedigger just dosen't do it. there are many other cards that you should rather have in your deck. It's really good and wins consistantly the only thing that's bad about it, and I mean only, is the manacurve. It's really weird because most of my creatures cost 3, so you can only play 1 card each turn even when you have 5 land out. other than that it's a really good deck. you should check it out
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=126730
3. -Red White flanking deck. I love flanking. it's even more amazing because no one ever uses it anymore. my favorite thing about this deck though is that it has 2 focuses that don't take away from eachother. the flanking creatures, and the isochron scepter paired with lightning bolt, or even better lightning helix. this combination is even better improved with balefire leige. because that would be 6 damage and 6 life for 2 mana. the idea is really pure, and i haven't seen anyone else do it. I really think you would like it.
And whoops, forgot, lol. My favorite card is probablyyy lotus cobra. Or jace the mindsculptor. Love them both, though the artwork on lotus cobra blows me away every time I see it.
my two questions are;
how long have you been playing?
and what advice can you give a new player (such as myself) to make all around better decks? (:
and finallly, my 3 favorite decks are;
your pure evil, for obvious reasons.
raggedjoe's boros.
and it's not on this site, but a player at my local fnm made my alltime favorite deck, lol. blue green control. it was just too good xD
I have been playing since just after Revised...may as well come clean about it...So a while. =P
Start putting together cards that you like. There's probably a reason you like them, you might not even know it yet. Then try to establish some other cards that help out and/or have synergy with these cards you like. Eventually, a theme will develop...so run with it. Some of my best decks are created from cards that I liked. For example, Black Sacrifice was made because I put together Grave Pact, Mortician Beetle, and of course Bloodghast. =]
Congratulations on the hundredth deck, and they've all been pretty great so far!
My favourite card would have to be Memnarch, hands down the funniest card there is. Stealing somebody's turn three planeswalker Bolas with your own turn three Memnarch is just great!
My questions are; If you play, who is your favourite EDH general?
Also, what is your quest?(kudos to those who catch it)
And lastly, my three favourite decks are pretty easy to list, as most are from the old Evil challenge :)
Your 'Pure Evil' deck, DeathTyrant5000's 'Sadistic Annihilation's deck, and shamefully I admit my own Countertop/Braids deck.
1st off, thank you for the big shout out, I really appreciate your impact on this community as a whole. I enjoy everyone of your idea's and all of your creations, and can't imagine what this online community would be without your contributions.
1. My favorite card, oh wow, that is difficult........ I have to go with rainbow efreet. It's a hell of a problem when you play a blue control deck with free counters like rewind and buybacks/ force of wills. I do enjoy keeping a 3/1 on the field with the ability to protect and dodge almost any spell :]
2a. When you play a game of magic, how do you like your library, straight or sideways?
2b. What is your favorite magic flavor text?
Mine is from Goblin Balloon Brigade, "The enemy is getting too close! Quick! Inflate the toad!"
Lol.
3a. http://mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=127360 aka "Cruel Control" My friends deck that is always a blast to play against when he gets out nicolbolas. (That was sarcasm by the way lol)
3b. http://mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=125886http://mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=125886 Your very own "Intereo In Obscurum" deck, I loved the release of the lorwyn block and this represents faeries exactly in my opinion.
3c. And finally, I feel my third deck choice is one yet to be conceived. I would love to see an all changeling deck that would benefit from each-nicely.
And to conclude, thank you again for always giving your support and your great advice to the members of mtgvault.com, I believe I can speak on behalf of the online community and say that this wouldn't be the same website without you.
Happy Camping!!! :]
Wow, thank you for that compliment. Seriously I mean it 100% when I say that it means a lot to me to hear that. =]
1) I play with my library "backwards" on my left side. As in, the card's name would be pointing at me.
2) It's a tie between Favor of the Mighty
***"What does a mountain fear of a fly? Giants are barely aware of us, let alone afraid."
—Gaddock Teeg***
and Time of Heroes
***"No one spoke. There was no need. The threat of the Eldrazi presented a simple choice: lay down your weapons and die for nothing, or hold them fast and die for something."
One of my best friends has a shapeshifter tribal deck and it is REALLY good, shockingly in fact.
YES! MY FIRST SPECIAL THANKS! haha, thanks a ton man. your one of the best deck makers i've ever seen.
Now, onto your questions....
Favorite card:
i'd say my favorite card is a tie between Thelon of Havenwood (fungus... gotta love 'em) and Gilt-Leaf Archdruid (soooo good with a deck built around him).
Two Questions:
1: What is the most creative/unique deck you've ever seen (if on this site, link please) ?
2: what is the most impressive deck you've ever seen, not including one of your own (once again, Link?) ?
3 Favorite decks:
dam, you've got me on this one. i've seen soooo many fun ones. since i like magic mainly because of it's flexibility, these are based off of the most unique/creative decks i've seen. if i based them off of how good the decks were, most of them would be yours, so..... here they are:
1: my Deck Trading V2 (http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=91435) simply because i've never seen anyone base a deck around anything like this. it does need an update (it was created this summer, and has a few kinks), but the expresion on your oponents face when it drops that shared fate is worth all the trouble.
2: my Land Discard V2 (http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=81734) because, though slow, it is so amazing do discard well over 40 damage to their face, then listen as they wisper to themselves "i just got beet by a deck with only 12 nonland cards...." Then they go cry in a corner.
3: though this one is the only one not for creativity, my fungus deck, at it's 7th or 8th, maybe even 9th or tenth version (i've lost count) has got to be one of my favorite decks, and over the span of 4 years which i have had it my affection for this lost tribe has only grown (http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=131906)
all of these decks being mine is not because i'm trying to advertise-- just clearing that up.
Congradulations on your 100'th deck. i'm truly a fan.
Thanks. And again, thanks for the help on my Filth deck, I made a change to it that might interest you. It now makes an unholy amount of tokens.
1) The weirdest damn deck I've ever seen was a Mono-Green Tempo deck. It was seriously god-damn bizarre, and very good. (Tempo is hard to make with the "mainstream" colors!)
2) Again, I'd have to say that raggedjoe's Boros Aggro deck just blew me away. It isn't just fast, I proxied it and played some test games and it has a consistent...staggering "in-your-face" speed to it. I'm also, for the record, not a fan of "turn 0" win decks. That's not fun to me, so to see a supremely fast deck that isn't that type of deck, is just great. =]
Glad to see I made a (hopefully good) impression to be mentioned here :P
1 - Nacatl War-Pride.
2 - Nothing comes to mind (yet).
3 - a) My own Dragonstorm deck 'Storming Dragons' ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=32108 )
b) A friend's Goat deck (though it needs a little work and won't be posted yet)
c) surewhynot's stompy decks (I can't choose one) :P
That dragonstorm deck is the one I said I wanted to base a deck off of right?
I have played against 3 different goat decks. 1 was just pure trash. It was just a horrible deck. Another one was pretty good, and was able to hold its own against a few of my decks for a few turns.
But one of them, owned by a good friend of mine, is without question one of his best decks. Not only that, but it is a very hard deck to defeat. It just flows perfectly and makes so many ****ing goats and makes them all so strong...
I look forward to seeing yours! =]
Congrats dude on a 100 decks, that's quite the milestone. I wish I could have achieved the quality of deck building that you have.
1. Favorite card has to be pillory of the sleepless because I have annoyed more than one player by playing three or four of them at a time.
2. I'm really trying to get my phoenix deck to be something I can enjoy, and yet still have it function successfully. How do you create that flow with a creature type that doesn't really...flow? lol.
How did get your decks out there so that you could get the feedback to help you create these terrifyingly awesome concoctions?
3. Favorite 3 decks: Elves and Wolves, Cry me a river, and Intereo In Obscurum.
Congrats again. Keep up the good work.
Hehehe, thanks.
1) If you mean how do you make a non-tribal "tribe" flow, Coat of Arms or Door of Destinies are really the only way to go. There are also issues with some creature types being difficult tribals because of their over-all high mana cost (Angels and Demons, for example), so sometimes adding in some way to accelerate the deck is key.
2) I'm not entirely sure how I got my decks noticed in the beginning, I suppose people just liked them. I will say though, that if you just add your two cents wherever you can, people will respect that...and it will help you get noticed. Help others, and they'll help you! =]
Just recently played my Elves and Wolves deck. It's also one of my favorite decks. =]
Congratulations on posting 99 decks. I'm new to the forum so unfortunately I'm not that familiar with your construction. On another note:
My favorite card is Chandra's Spitfire. I have some real love for cards in the uncommon slot; more often than not they carry my games for me, and Red being my hallmark color, I have to pick one of the most powerful red cards I've ever used, and that's Chandra's Spitfire. It's capacity to tear players apart in tandem with pingers is unrivaled, and while it may not be Kiln Fiend, it tends to last longer while flowing better in mono red, and lets me win those stalemate games.
As for questions. . . do you play paper magic, or magic online, and which faction are you going to choose for Mirrodin Besieged and why?
Thanks! -]
1) I play paper magic. I actually own every one of the decks I've made here. I have them all in a bunch of boxes, and take just a few to my local shop at a time. I use proxies extensively though. Not because I don't own the cards, but because I only own as many as the highest amount shown in any given deck. I just don't want to have to switch the "real" cards in and out of decks over and over...
2) I am going to side with Phyrexia. Mostly because I'm pretty sure that Besieged will have that extra push of cards I need to make an Infect-based Stompy deck...which would be absurd. Another reason is that I am VERY excited for the Living Weapon mechanic. I'm planning to make a Living Weapon/Metalcraft deck the first day and I have a good feeling it will kick some serious ass. =]
1) My favorite card is a tie between Goblin Guide (I cannot say how useful this is in my RDW), Leonin Arbiter (Low cost deck slowing capabilities coupled with badass artwork), and Necrotic Ooze (nice art with a very unique ability).
2) How much "mana" do you gain from your "land"? (please answer in inches) XD
3) I have about 6 decks, and my favorite deck is probably my mono-white Cat deck, just because of how fun it is to use. I never really aim to win with it, I usually forgo killing blows just to stock up more a shitload of cat tokens.
"I never really aim to win..."
That's how I play my games, I find the game to be more fun than winning (although sometimes being the winner is fun too) and the look on someone's face when you do what they don't expect (because it means you'll lose) is way more rewarding than winning :p
i just join the website a few weeks ago and i notice a few of your many decks and from what i've seen all of the decks was well made..oh and yeah congrats on reaching 100! now on to business
1. my favorite card would be Ink eyes! (Arcanis should be a close second)
2. what mechanic in magic that you like most? and what was the best combo you ever discover on your own?
3. i love cheap decks that work!
1) Trample. It's such a simple and flavorful mechanic, yet it has so much power and potential.
2) Hmmm...I might have to think about that one. Probably Reoccurring Nightmare with Sprouting Thrinax in a Jund deck =P
Good job man! Keep on stomping :D
1. Dragonmaster outcast - everyone at my local shop now hates him
2. Any way you'll find a way to make allies stompy?
3. My crazy dragon deck!
Love dragonmaster outcast.
I never really thought about it before, mostly because I don't own very many green allies (just never pulled any). I suppose I could try it, but I have my doubts. With little to work with, it would probably be a pump-stomp. I'll see how it works out.
I will say that I am going to make an Infect-Stomp as soon as I can. Have you seen that new wolf that leaked?! Hell yes.
Hey surewhynot! Glad to see you're doing good on your Deck Count, and I really appreciate the shout-out. Now I know what you're thinking, OMGZ AABOY66 MAYUN WHERE'S YOUR NEW DECKS?! Well, I've been focusing a lot on school lately, and 'cause my teachers think it would be funny to give me some more piles of homework and criticising my work and threatening to call my parents, it's got me focused more on the big pile of the paper next to my desk instead of my actual Decks. I'll try to find some time to get some ideas, and make Decks but right now it doesn't look like it'll be happening soon. Also, the fact that I can't buy Cards and I can't get on to MTGO really made me lose a lot of interest in MTG, but I'll still try to keep making Decks. Anyways, so I just got to say you're an amazing guy. You came to this website not too long ago, and got popular real quick, became an Article Writer on the Forums, and find time to make all these Decks. Damn, that's a lot of effort and I think more people should appreciate what you do here. I've been on here since July and you're doin' better than me already! Congratulations on you're 100th Deck man, I'm glad to have you as a wingman.
1) Glory of Warfare. Come on, what did you expect?
2) What's your definition of Stompy? (going to put this in the dictionary!)
3) I'd have to say you're Stompy Deck. What do you mean be more specific? Hehe, I kid, I kid, my favorite Deck is your Horde Stomp Deck. So damn well innovated.
0
Eesh, yeah I'll be fine with waiting if it means you can get back on track with school. Magic's fun, school's important. =]
1) If you want the long version, refer to the response I gave higher up. If you want a shortened, dictionary-esque version, then here it is:
"Stompy refers to a specific type of mono-green aggro deck that focuses on perfecting an 'over-efficiency' of mana. Stompy is also known to have a means of consequential card drawing*."
*a form of card drawing that results from a creature being sent to the graveyard, often as a result of the opponent blocking said creature.
That should cover the basics. =]
I also love my Horde Stomp. It was probably the hardest one I've made so far, but it was worth it for sure. That stompy efficiency with an army of beefy tokens? It's unreal. =]
Nice 100 decks! Well done!
1. At the moment, my favourite card is the ever useful lighning bolt. But, i suppose if I were to go for a less of a 'classic' i would choose iona, shield of emiria. My favourite card is always cahnging, but the deck I built around her is one of my best in my opinion.
2. What is the most powerful deck type (not including stompy!) And what is your favourite Mono card from each colour (technically 6, but oh well!)
3. Your pure evil deck, my Angels deck and followship of the ring.
Keep on the good work!
Thanks dude. I haven't seen this Iona deck of yours, I'll have to check it out.
1) Extraction is without question the most powerful. Tribal? Take out the lord. Combo? Turn their deck into a hunk of cardboard. Control? Take out their win condition. They can control all they want, they'll deck out first and can't win. Aggro? Pull out the pumps and heavy-hitters and hold them back until they inevitably lose steam. There is a very obvious reason Extraction cards are rarely, if ever, printed any more. =]
2)
W - Silence. "Did you want to play that? Oh, so sorry".
U - Djinn of Wishes. I'm going to do a Beyond the Ink about him.
B - Bloodghast. He's my favorite card ever...
R - Rage Nimbus. Not because it's necessarily good (it's decent), but just because it's really cool.
G - Primal Bellow. Holy crap is that card overpowered. Giant Growth looks like a joke now.
C - Quietus Spike. It's so creepy and evil, yet so damn strong.
2) If you were to enter a Standard Tournament, what deck would you bring? And what deck would you be the most afraid of seeing?
3) My Boros deck, your Manana Hammock, and Soul Sisters.
I would bring the Metalcraft/Living Weapon deck that I'm going to make. It will be a force to behold =] I may also bring the Infect-stomp I'm going to make, but I'm leaning more towards the first one.
I would fear that control deck I am predicting. I'm pretty damn sure it will be B/W.
2). Do you have a deck that none of your friends in your playgroup want to play against ? Is there a deck type or kind of that you refuse to play against ?
A deck capable winning turn two with a bunch of very big untargetable near to unblockable Slivers.
Hey man congrats and thank you again for your input on that myr deck, has been doing pretty well.
Favorite Card would have to be Jester's Cap. I remember when i first started playing and busting open an ice age pack and pulling one of those and thinking this is crap. At the time I was looking for the creatures with the highest att/def. /sigh
Do you enjoy the playing with a few buddies or something like a FNM scene better?
Top 3 decks would have to be:
Classic Black: dark rituals, black knights, unholy strengths, will o wisp, order of the ebon hand that sort of thing
White Weenie: and really kithkin here lately. Probably my favorite deck I own
Blue Control
Thanks again for your help and keep up the good work :D
My questions are:
Favorite Card: Grindclock. I know its primitive and commona nd everything, but decking out my friends who have Jace the Mind Sculptors, Koth of the Hammers, and Elspeths all fit conveniently into custom purchased 200-300 dollar decks is an absolute treat :) I still remember how a good friend of mine spent 160 bucks on a custom Red deck after getting 2 Koths in a booster box. He went undefeated 9 games in a row before he challenged me. I used my Proliferate deck id never battle tested and that i made using only card i got out of like 10 boosters. He couldnt even come close to keeping my life down thanks to eternity vessel and elixirs of immortality and in a matter of 3 turns after getting my Grindclock out, his deck was GONE. Best feeling in the world :D
My favorite card is... Hmm let me think... Niv Mizzet, The Firemind, because his unique ability for card advantage, great compatibility with death-touch, and winning instantly when paired with Curiosity.
Okay, first question is, What do you think is the worst magic card in history? excluding the obviously awful ones like storm crow and chimney imp.
Secondly, a two part question. Who taught you how to play this card game, and what was your first mythic/ generally amazing card you opened in a pack?
My favorite decks ever are Rudeboy's Boros deck based on Ranger of Eos, Rudeboy's Arcanis EDH, and any deck that can crush me with amazing style and fines.
Vaishino Skeleton is undoubtedly the worst creature. It's absolutely horrible, and I use it as a bookmark. However, it is often argued, and I fully agree, that Rakalite is the absolute worst card ever printed.
An old friend showed me the game way back a few months after Revised came out, and I've been playing since. Beyond that, I pretty much taught myself. My first actual "Mythic" was Uril, the Miststalker I think. My first "holy crap!" card pulled from a pack was my "The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale". I think it is still the all-time best pull I've ever had. =]
My favorite card is either Isumaru, Hound of Konda or Watchwolf because both great power for great value
My question is: What is your favorite set? and why?
My favorite decks are my friend's r/g aggro because he can dish out 40 damage on turn four, that same friend's r/u counter deck, that abuses Invisible Stalker and Curse of the Stalked Prey, and your black sacrifice deck because it's something that's unique and creative! Congrats on 100 decks and I hope you keep making decks until another huge milestone!
