I agree with the guy above, Gods Willing would be a pretty good card especially if your after 1 drops and common. I don't think civic saber is useful for this deck. I have it in one of mine and the only reason it works well is because as my creatures are multi-colour (http://www.mtgvault.com/surexius/decks/standard-rusher/)

Firstly defend and get up the walls as well as using the detain. Then summon your bigger creatures or buff those smaller ones with enchantments, while you attack your guildmages can make your creatures fly and make enemy creatures vanish enemy attacks are greatly restricted by sphere of safety. Its a pretty powerful deck. Any other questions feel free to ask I have a description of the deck above which also hopefully explains some of the strategy. If you like my deck click the like. I love it its way better than mine and the all is dust is just pure destruction and game ending. Im after the eldrazi conscription myself but I was going to put it on the spawns. Very nice, if your going vintage with urza why not add in the likes of thran dynamo?

I think your comments are spot on the only thing I disagree with is the skittering invasion. I think mainly just because I like that card!

Thanks for your comments and your like. Yeah I don't think he's a great card and for 5 mana doesn't have that great a kick. I've actually modified this deck again and cut down the deck size a bit (its still got more than 60 due to the zombie infestation discard effect).

Drowned catacombs would work. To be honest treasure hunt is more than likely to draw you one card as you have so many lands and you only have a 4/52 chance of drawing your zombie infestation which is your only card that can let you win
Your better using cards that increase your hand size.

Here is my zombie build its a bit slow to start but once it starts (turn 3-4) its hard to stop.
Its a bigger deck due to the discard effect of zombie infestation.

Never mind I've read what EDH is, this won't be able to be an EDH, I use all the colours also it relies on you drawing fauna shaman and either recurring nightmare or searching for hell's gatekeeper, so that's why I have multiple copys of some cards. This deck was my first created deck, my first baby and prob my stongest!

Thanks I've modified my deck now so its got a clearer focus and explained how it works. There is multiple stradegies only at the end and it depends on what big card you have mainly if you have Hellrider, Instigator Gang or Victory's Herald.

I think the synergy is very good the cards and card combos allow you to ensure you hit the enemy and do big damage as well as get stronger and deal more damage each turn.

As for the tokens your right with speed and I think a green white build is very good for tokens. This is not a token deck.

I agree with some of what you say. Definately will swap around the paladins and reduce the instigators . Blademasters tend to die rather than hit (If they hit they are lethal) so I think you are right on that with 4 stromkirks.... I'll have to get some! I have found that the fiend hunters are really good and more effective than the decoy and urn. I've written how to play the deck and kind of my reasons behind the selection of the cards. The sideboard is a bit more like a sideboard but I'm not used to making sideboards.

I'm not fond of lightning mauler I think you can get better cards like lightning greeves.

As for the cobblewings I was debating that and went for the whispersilk as I figured if I pull a victory herald it will nul the effect of the wings. I was also wondering if annother whispersilk would be better than a satchel.

Well here is mine. Idealy I'd like dreadbore rather than doomblades and I am trying to buy bloodline keepers and will probally use 2 of them

Corrupt is the big one im thinking of for mono black they are a few others that depend on swamps in play and vampire noctous (or something like that he's called) an expensive card to buy but can make all your creatures fly and give them I think its a +3+3 if the next card is black which it likely will be :p

I think you missing quite a few tricks by not using red in a vampire deck. You miss a lot of strong vampire buffers. If you are set on mono black vampire nighthawk would be a great addition addition and id have to agree with the guy who already commented... bloodline keeper. They blow child of night away. Id put in a few more captivating vampire for the buffing and I think you would benefit from adding blood artist (annother of my favourites) in your main rather than side board. My other comments are related to a mono black deck which ill post after I look up the card I mean

I was gonna add in Vault of the Archangel as my extra land. I just bought 2 on ebay by your suggestion. Probally remove doomed traveller in its place.

I don't understand what you mean by mana curve, does it determines how many lands you need?

Gravepact works awesome with this deck, I'd ideally have 4 in the deck but they are expensive and I don't think I'm gonna end up having more than 1 champion of the parish either due to cost. Besides I think the mobs and canibals will do a similar job.

trying to be quick with the deck and you've pretty much got the main part of the deck. The other aspect is to ensure the creatures attack by the likes of niblis of the urn, master decoy abd whispering cloak and by removing potential defending creatures by fiend hunter, swords to plowshares and by damage like burning oil and devils play (I choose those two over fireball and the like of Flame slash as I could cast it the spell twice). Also by end game I have a lot of free mana.

I put in veteran armorer to protect my creatures against spells steam blast. As most my creatures have toughness 1 or 2. I had crusader paladin in their place. The idea was to boast the attack dmage of my creatures like the instigator gangs do. Do you think the paladins might be better? I am pretty vunerable to a wraith if God wipe and not sure how I can counter it.

For kithin rable I have white suns zeneth and thraben doomsayer. They also boast attacking creatures. I had thought of using more stormkirk nobles, but felt they were only good early game so put in 2 Markov blademasters in rather than 4 nobles as I felt they were a larger threat in turn 2 plus. Do U think the stomkirks would be better? I think ur right about the stronghold though I think I can only have 1 in for the reason you mentioned about having another dual land.

My sideboards are never any good and mostly consist of cards I was thinking of putting in but not sure about.

Im not fond of mentor of the meek but I've used druids satchel to heal.create creatures or to pull lands as i was worried with 62 cards my draw might suffer.

Also annother question, do the counters stack like if Markov hits and opponent has curse of stalked prey does he first do 1 damage and then get a +1+1 from his ability and a +1+1 ability from the curse hitting then with the double strike to cause 3 damage and then again getting two +1+1 counters so finishing as a 5/5?

Vexing devil looks like it would be a good addition especially as my deck the potential to burn for damage. Again I have difficulty of knowing who to remove... :(
