Deck Description

I really want to fit more Spear of Heliods in there but there is nothing I really want to take it. This is a slightly cheaper alteration of Esper Control which is so powerful right now in Standard but focused around enchantments. Theros was a block that had extremely heavy focus on enchantments so cards like Sphere of Safety and Ethereal Armor can get pretty powerful.

How to Play

The idea is to stop the opponent from doing practically anything, and killing them slowly with One Thousand Lashes or Stab Wound. It isn't as counter heavy as Esper Control, but it does focus on board state. Bestow can be really handy and the Eidolon's are the cheapest mana wise.

Deck discussion for Orz. Lockdown (Standard) Help?

Well, Heliod would have tons of synergy with sphere of safety. You will get guys and up the spheres ability. I'd trade elite arcanist for 2 of him and 1 spear.
I like it quite a bit!

Thanks for the suggestion and you're definitely correct. I thought the Elite Arcanist + Silence was pretty neat though! I'll give it some thought.

I made that with a more america colored scheme. I think it fits better in UWR. Mainly bc of the aggressive nature. It needs a way to stop other decks. In esper it fits, but I like to think esper is more synergistic than UWR.
