Thanks everyone for helping my deck make FRONT PAGE! Please feel free to follow me :D being my first tournament deck this is a great confidence boost to my casual skill at deck building! :D I've been bringing this deck to FNM for a while now. it has been doing pretty well for itself. and last night i brought it to a standard type 2 tournament and finished 1st place out of 15 people, with a record of 5-0/ 9-1. if anyone can see anything else that could help this deck out even more that would be awesome!:D

thx for the comment! ive been playing it for about 2 months now and the land seems to be fine each draw usually. i think ill run more bonfire once scars rotates out. speaking of that, any opinion on odric? im thinking he is going to be my replacement for Hero. if i do i think ill have to run 4 gathers and maybe cut down 1 thalia with the addition of more spells?

thanks for the comment! devine might be a possibility. as for herald not so sure. by the time its out i usually want to win that turn or the next. and sublime angel wont work. espically with having odric in there. humans dont want to be attacking alone. im swinging with just about everything each turn. thanks for the ideas though!
I didnt even see odric in there so ya sublime wont work at all. If anything else i would try and main board the o-rings for removal but other than that i got nothing
I like it. R/W humans is a great way to go. How about Hellrider. A T5 Hellrider after a T4 Hero can be devastating. I run modern R/W humans and just built a standard verison of it. thanks for the comment! hellrider might find a way in actually. once scars is gone i think i might swing the deck direction to mass creatures to help out odric. that plus the hellrider could account for a big swing. completely forgot about him. but until then i dont think hellrider fits just yet.

Thalia should be sideboard... U gonna' need 2 more Townsfolk & 1 more Hunter... According to mana curve, U don't need 24 lands, only 22... I'd drop a Cavern, 2 Plains & add 1 more Mountain...
idk if i can agree on the thalia, just because of my local meta. i do think i will try the 2 less land and +1 gather, +1 bonfire, -1 thalia to side, and +1hunter. ill give that a shot and see how well it works for me tomorrow at FNM. thanks Poet!

Pretty solid and fast. You need Student of Warfare and Accorder Paladin. I think you need More board controls like Path to Exile, etc. How 'bout reckless waif, Keldon Marauders and Kargan Dragonlord? It would be a bad synergy with Honor the Pure though. well those are interesting suggestions, but this deck is for standard so most of those wouldnt work. accorder is a really cool card and i like it. but im not really going for mass army battle cry right now. thanks for the comment and ill check your deck out!

If you're gonna run Thalia, why run Honor of the pure and the swords plus bonfires and Gather the townsfolK? Seems to me like wasted space. Fill that space with fast humans to do quick and brutal damage! Or am I missing something?
yea its at 11 non creature spells now. a little more then i had orginally intended. i cant take thalia out just because of my local meta, soooooo what about -1 bonfire, -1 gather +1 odric, and +1 thalia?
Thalia NEEDS to be a four-of. Combo/Control decks are running 4-of's in legacy and vintage for a reason! It's a house at hosing blue counterspell and R/B removal spells from slowing you down much. Other than that, about the only thing I would change would be to pop the O-rings in the mainboard so you have a way to deal with any large enchantment/creature they land that you don't have a creature-based answer to. I usually play about 4 in my white decks, as a lot of decks just have no answer to them. Any chance you could look at my Infect U/R deck? i can see thalia being a 4 of. for me it just came down to my local meta. its about half aggro half control. she is amazing for stopping control and green giest aggro. and it kinda of goes the same way for the o rings. im usulally using fiend hunter for win con vs those big creatures like titans and will bring in o rings instead when i vs control. thanks for the comment and like. ill check your deck out.

i actually have been trying fervor. i found it to actually slow me down rather then make it faster. i have a better spell to play about 90% of the time instead of fervor. usually a silver blade, honor, or readying a mauler for a t4 hero win. thanks for the suggestions and ill check your deck out.

I think when scars rolls out you can keep up this decks speed and intensity by focusing on tokens. So thatcher's revolts and intangible virtues should really help maybe even krenko's command That way the red can help keep you in control and your white will make an nice quick and cheap army. yea thats going to be the hardest part when scars rotates out. im thinking tokens + odric are going to be the path this deck goes. ive had friends suggesting resto angel to replace hero, but i dont really see what considerable amount of help she would be. the thatcher's mightttttt find a way in along with kurin striker since i might go the token route. gonna have to do alot of play testing for this one i think :s ill take a look soon as i can thanks for looking at mine. i really appreciate it!
Not a problem I really like the deck! Also the Resto Angel flickers your creatures so any etb abilities retrigger, and and spells targeting them don't hit.
I have a question how is it that I keep coming across decks like the ones I see here on this site. Its just odd. I played a deck like this about 4 months ago. The one problem it has is that some times it gets hung up. Some of the newer enchantments can make this deck even better.
really all the times ive played it that ive gotten hung up was when i get hit by a slagstorm really. or just the random bad draws. as for the enchantments im not sure which your talking about? ive already play tested fervor and i found it to actually slow me down.
I had been playing a list similar to this for quite some time, and it was pretty solid. It has some tough matchups with Delver and Zombies though, so I would definitely suggest 3 Thalia in the sideboard and at least 3 Bonfires mainboard. :)
yea delver is always the biggest problem. luckily for me there is only 1 guy that plays delver and he isnt around that much xD for my local meta the thalia makes main board for 2 reasons, i have a good amount of controlers and STRANGLEROOT. so she usually is in 99% of the time unless im mirror matching. thanks for the look over!
I think attended knight should be blade splicer. It's more power, and though a little weaker to vapor snag i find it can be a very effective threat. It's also helpful against sword of war and peace to have a colorless body.
Also, why no cavern of souls?
i have 3 caverns? and is splicer a soldier? that could have been a possibility but right now im kind of shifting it into rotation. its kind of late to search of splicer as by the time i get back from afghanistan the rotation will be completed haha. thanks tho!

Interesting, exactly the same name and Build I had up a month ago and that got nowhere in votes. This forum is fickle at its best. But needless to say, I like the deck, since I built it, a month ago.

well i dont thinki really need anymore then 2 in at once. usually only stick the sB bonfire in vs tokens or a mirror match. and they they were a pain to get, kinda costly for standard but it does the job, and it does it very well lol

when scars rotates out i would go hellrider, also stormblood just sucks in this deck he doesnt always get counters. i would try knight of glory you can swing for three turn two or do it with gather.
i have to completely disagree that stormblood sucks. i have look at a lot of variants of this deck and just about each one of them has it. so i threw it it and it does work wonders. its not usually a 1st choice play on t2 but wheni dont have anything, its a great card. thank you for taking a look! feel free to follow me and i shall return the favor!
Hey there, returning the comment. :) Honestly, this deck is pretty solid. You've got the necessary white Human cards in Thalia, Champion, Silverblade, and Bladehold. Anthems instead of lords, haste instead of mana accel, and swords instead of Rancor, it's set up shoulder to shoulder with G/W. I'd agree that another bonfire in there would rock most opponents' boards, as long as Thalia doesn't get in your way. The sweeping is necessary since you don't have the trample (or evasion via Lambholt), and since most value creatures in standard are small, you should be able to make a good opening.
