ummmmmm........... what don't you get about that?
primal command ftw
Unfortunately, spells like hallowed burial poop in this deck's tuba.
Here check out the deck I have been tourney-ing with: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=23348
wait! this isn't the right one!
all the high-drop spells make me a little nervous... but I like it
Like this deck. Only thing I would do is replace an Uril with another steel of the godhead.
would rather have anathemancer in SB than specter
what is your win condition?
Thank you very much for your input. I guess my strategy for this deck is to stall while I build up mana. The idea is to retard my opponent's progress for the first five or six turns while I get mana out, and then when I have enough mana to cast traumatize or haunting echoes and protect it with a counter (unless their deck doesn't counter), I do. Then I twincast mind funeral and their deck is basically gone. Taking a look at your deck now.
Double negative is just like cancel vs. non-cascade spells. It just has the added bonus of stopping the cascade effect as well. I have broken ambitions for early-game counter, so it's not as thought I am leaving an opening. I had originally considered something more along your line of thought for that counter slot (I was thinking two countersqualls and two essence scatters), but I decided on the double negatives because Jund cascade is pretty popular right now, especially where I play on a weekly basis.
Should listen to k405 imo. I concur that either a deck should be entirely focused on milling (which is an uphill battle anyway in type II), or it shouldn't bother. Blightning is a mean bastardly bastard of a spell.
This is almost exactly the same as the tournament deck I am currently using: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=23348 Black/White is my favorite color combo, I think. Has held up quite well in the face of the metagame for months now.
fanks :D
18 card sideboard?
Durrrrr forgot Mana Reflection.... replaced Mind Stone with it.
Ok, replaced Gilder Bairn (4) with Mind Stone (4) and Topan Ascetic (4) with Birds of Paradise (4) because I couldn't think of anything else to add.
