Deck Description

The main idea of this deck is to get both a [[Voltaic Servant]] and a [[Traxos, Scourge of Kroog]] on the battlefield. This can enable you to have a 7/7 with trample with pseudo vigilance as early as turn 4 as you can use [[Voltaic Servant]] to bypass the Traxos drawback and untap it at each of your endsteps. To back this combo up we have 3 [[Heart of Kiran]] with a team of planeswalkers who can all generate card advantage and take over the game all on their own. [[Karn, Scion of Urza]] is a great magic card and is of course amazing in this deck. It comes in with tons of loyalty which is great for [[Heart of Kiran]]. The card drawing effects are what we are mainly using this planeswalker for however in certain situations the creation of creature tokens can be useful to protect your other walkers. The completely colorless casting cost is huge for a three color deck as you can cast it even in those times when you are stuck on mana colors. [[Chandra, Torch of Defiance]] needs no talking about it is just a super powerful card and if unchecked can just win the game for you. [[Saheeli Rai]] is the last planeswalker we are playing and can be quite powerful in this deck. Most decks playing her are doing so for her second ability yet in this deck with almost all our consequence creatures being legendary we do not care much for it. Her big appeal in this deck is she can enable a turn 3 [[Heart of Kiran]] play along with the first ability which allows you to get further through your deck to find the cards you need. During the rare chances when you get to ultimate her you should just be able to win as you can pull out all three of your combo pieces. Backing this all up we have a full suite of removal utilizing two new cards from Dominaria. [[Cast Down]] is extremely good at controlling the board during the early game as you try and assemble your combo. [[Settle the Score]] is a one of in this deck and its inclusion is due that often times the two loyalty counters can allow you to ultimate one of your walkers and take further control of the game. Search for Azcanta helps you find what you need early game and once it flips it can help you find your planeswalkers, removal, and [[Heart of Kiran]]. [[Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain]] rounds out the deck. She has been great as her 3 power allows crewing of [[Heart of Kiran]] and most of your spells will replace themselves while she is on the battlefield. Much of the sideboard is tailored towards control matches as having tons of removal in the main deck can make that a difficult matchup. The [[Thran Temporal Gateway]] is also for those control matchups as a way to get past counterspells. [[Phyrexian Scriptures]] is for the big creature matchups which have become more popular with the release of Dominaria. The rest of the sideboard I feel is quite straightforward as to which decks those cards are for.

How to Play

Due to this deck being heavy on the four drop slot making your land drops is extremely important which is why we are running 26 lands. I would recommend almost never taking a mulligan below six cards and try to only keep hands with at least two lands as the deck has quite a few one and two drop removal that can help you control the game until you get that fourth land. Our main win condition will be Traxos however I have had plenty of games where Heart of Kiran is the MVP. In a meta heavy with agro decks a vigilance creature is huge as you can both swing in for 4 flying damage and leave back a blocker for your opponents attack.
