Deck Description

Haven't played MTG for a long while and came back and see M12. Time to make some new decks.

This deck was originally "Nothing is Real", however, after searching other decks to find ideas I stumbled onto Surewhynot's deck, which was called "Nothing is Real". So I renamed the deck and incorporated Meloku into the deck because of how well it would work and veiled sentry. Everything else in the deck came from myself, though I am sure there are more such as this.

Deck discussion for Illusionist Dream

First off, welcome back NightAngel, been a while.

Now, on to the deck. This kicks ass for a legacy Illusion deck, honestly. I have one minor issue, however. Xenograft. It's a great card when you're trying to achieve a tribal format without having the tribe present to show for it, but here you have a full menagerie of Illusions. Only Meloku and LotU need it, and that's kind of iffy in and of itself.

I'd say, switch the Xenograft for either another Automaton to buff up your critters more, or another Phantasmal Image. Mental Misstep I like, effective versus early stage Hawkward, though at most I see it as sideboard material. Possibly some Vapor Snags in place of them to really piss off opponents. Sleep would also be a great bonus for this deck, just to lock their board for a phase so you can set in and commit to pillaging.

Cool deck, man, and glad to see you online again.
(Oh, and for another way to use LotU and Xenograft, check out my Simic Myrllusions deck. A wee bit mean.)

Thanks for the reply, went out of town for the weekend so I didn't get to respond early. Xenograft I added because as soon as I used the deck, LotU got an even bigger target mark than elvish piper did when I still used my progenitus cheat deck. So I ended up putting that in, however, it'd probably be easier to drop something specifically for it...

Xenographt was the first solution I found and so I added it in. And i just noticed its 5 mana, not 4, which completely bombed its worth in my eyes. For now I will leave the deck unedited until I find a solution to the problem with doomblades and go for the throats. I do like adding in more buff and I suppose outside my particular playing group it'd be much better like that, so I will most likely sideboard Xeno specifically for my playgroup.

And vapor snag...oooh. I'll probably sideboard mental misstep and put that in. Sleep...possibly. I'll try it out in my group and see how it works out.

Thanks for the feedback!
