I like your deck...I don't know what you mean with non black sources. The nighthawk I'm kinda iffy on myself, but with kessig wolfrun and the scavenger he gets pumped up. Jarrad is only there cause I can fling with him lol. But the jarrads order let's me grab a disciple and a gravecrawler or slitherhead. I've played it a couple weeks at fnm, usually finishing in the top five outta thirty. I'm trying to get a little higher.
Any land that doesn't produce blak is a non black source so with 11 now (can't tell of you changed or I miscounted ) your going to have a hard time casting geralf's messenger tht trip black wont likely happen till you hit 6 lands lol jarads allright just a very specific mana cost
Ok gotcha on the terminology, imma bit of a noob lol. I have had a few issues getting him out on time, I'm working on getting more dual lands. I had four geralfs, that's one reason I switched to three and added the nighthawk....the other two slots were ( I'm embarassed to write this) fervor. So far the only decks I've lost to were uw control and a huntmaster, thragtusk, Olivia Jund deck. I thought the nighthawks scavenge and kessig wolfrun might help me keep up with the lifegain. Any help is appreciated.
I run 3 caverns and 1 rootbound that's all that doesn't directly produce black lol if you did tht you'd probably have to cut jarad
Lol for caverns id trade parts of my soul right now. I'm budget decking. Wouldnt it be easier to cast him with caverns if I named zombies? I'd hate to lose him, but I would in a moment to make the deck work more.....I will say its funny as hell to rancor a gravecrawler then swing fling and recast.
Ya if you want go budget zombies and still go three colors you'd have to cut him espically with jarad In the list (regardless of budget they may not work) also you have 3 red cards here you may not need red really
I didn't post my sideboard, but I'm running more red there. Slaughtered games and such. I originally was just green black, but the decks I've played I've needed the dreadbores and the wolfruns. Eventuality ill have more woodlands and overgrown tombs. Was thinking of dropping the nighthawks for tragic slips or the like.
Ok, so I played at a few other fnm locations......and I have to admit I've got to change this deck quite a bit.
