With a lot of my decks, I try to deliberately defy conventional archetypes. I had some copies of Eye for an Eye, and thought that white burn spells were so rare that it would be fun to use one as a win condition.
This deck is really built for multiplayer. It uses Ethereal Haze, Slagstorm, and Awestrike for creature control, while getting a Pyromancer Ascension to become active, which will double your mana for a great big Comet Storm, or turn a game-ending attack back at your opponent.

I'm sure it would, but I don't have the worldly resources to commit, and I'm not willing to throw in lands that come into play tapped.
