He should use black cat but feast is very good it reloads your opponents hand so you can keep triggering Waste Not
The reason i choose herald over feast is because feast can simple be removed after they get their free card making him nothing but a free card draw for the opponent. Herald when bestowed onto a creature is then safer from removals and board wipes, because after bestowed he becomes a creature again after the creature he is attached to is destroyed. this is especially effective against Supreme Verdict although you still fall victim to planar cleansing
