Deck Description

This version of Derevi I wanted to do for a veiwer on my Youtube channel (Thuh Dude). Dodo Bird Commander's Youtube channel also has a very interesting build for Derevi as well. I wanted to incorporate the versatility Derevi can compile in both the controlling and aggro spectrums of game play. Now, as a footnote, I did not want to build the style of Derevi that just locks people out, and shits on players fun. I purposely did not include Winter Orb or Stasis to keep it more fun. I can utilize aggressive creature plays with enough control to constrict opponents plays, and utilize stack manipulation with all of Derevi's tap/untap triggers to make for a very versitile game.

How to Play

I wanted this version of Derevi to run similar to an Edric deck, utilizing one mana 1/1's with evasion to get multiple Derevi triggers quickly. Adding cards that give me additional untaps, and cards that choke opponents game play help me to optimize my turns. Depending on the situation, if I start with an early game tutor, I tutor up Edric himself to get serious card advantage with drawing cards and untapping lands. token generation, Brago triggers, and finishers like Cathar's Crusade allow me to decide the route to victory as needed.
