Deck Description

Get Zur into play and shroud him with Diplomatic Immunity then pop on phyresis and eat away with infect dmg. Lots of creature control and counters to ensure Zur gets into play. If you foresee a counter to Zur, save for your own counter (or two). Incredible 1v1, very straightforward. Multiplayer just makes it more interesting. Enough board wipes to keep enemies off the board while Zur vanishes out and then back in with full enchants! :) it is slightly budget right here... but seriously one of the most insane general dmg decks you will find,

Deck discussion for Zur-Infect

This is very cool! So like if you give Zur shroud, then infect, the make him unblockable, then give him double strike, you would beat face like a champ! I understand why you would put Diplomatic Immunity, but then i would put Steel of the God head on after that so he cant be blocked and destroyed. I love this deck. Great Job!

Yep, Godhead gives him a big boost. 1v1 this deck is really baller because it has a lot of options for that general damage. I would love to have him swinging with infect before godhead is put on though, at least in 1v1. In a multiplayer, which is my FNM rules, get diplomatic immunity then get vanishing IMMEDIATELY. It prevents him from going down to board wipes/sacrifices/untargeted abilities. As soon as he is on the board and swung with diplomatic immunity he is unstoppable really. Prevent your opponent from having a large attack creature and the game is pretty much over.

That seems legit. I really love the deck. I might make it and try it out for my FNM's Commander tournament.

I do have a question. What happens when Zur has, say 4 enchantments and Vanishing. What happens to the enchantments if Zur phases out?

Zur and his enchantments leave play together and return together in that same state they were phased out. This is a downside if Zur is tapped when he gets phased out. Phasing is just a weird old mechanic that not many people keep up on. He phases back in in the same exact state he was phased out in. And because he phases in during your upkeep, he misses your untap step. Something to keep in mind anyways.

You ever hear of Flickerform? It's a great card. It's saved my ass multiple times.
