So, I wanted a deck that showcased what I refer to as the "Lich" Mechanic... the ability to become an annoying, undying son-of-a-bitch. The idea is to have a combo-control deck that can win with, like, a dozen or so menially hilarious ways. Using the many counter spells, you keep yourself alive until you are ready to obtain your immortality. Using Lich, draw all of your cards using Ad Nauseam or Necropotence (Note; only use the beauty that is Necropotence for this if you have an extra turn coming up and a Reliquary tower), and then play laboratory maniac and win by going insane. Insane Lich wins. If you want to do something weird, play storm. Using your boat-load of tutors, generate tons and tons of mana and use a large tendrils of agony with Lich out. After drawing a couple dozen cards, do it again with Dralnu. Dralnu is like... your Lich advisor. He's a lich, your a lich, we're all gonna be lichs. Which leads me to my favorite win in the deck, which is turning your opponent into an equally "menacing" lich, and then bounce his lich effect or overload his graveyard to make him lose. You can do this with the wonderful card donate. Platinum angel or another lich effect is required to win in this lovely fashion. Access to Consuming Aberration allows you to win by mill, and a combination of him, Havengul Lich, and maybe reins of power if your desperate can let you beat someone up. Gather specimens is damnably funny, and can stop a Marath combo in its tracks. All in all, just be a villainous lich. It's quite fun.
You and Dralnu are gonna have a field day. You sit at a table, look at your oblivous opponents, and size them up. They look at Dralnu ("Pft, sac permanents? This sucks!"), and decide to bolt him a lot. To their suprise, you're not being very aggressive. They ignore you. You draw some cards, maybe eliminate a threat here or there, but you're not really 'there'. All of a sudden, you draw you whole deck, turn one of your opponents into an undead guy, kill him, do the same to the third, toy with the survivor, and rip him apart in a flurry of agonizing tendrils. That's how you play like a lich.
