This is my rendition of the 8-Rack Mono Black Discard deck that is running Waste Not as a play-set due to the considerable power it brings to the table. It's modern playable (once Waste Not is considered legal), and actually has some pretty good match-ups against a lot of the meta-game. Waste Not brings the deck abilities it didn't have before, such as Mana Ramp and Drawing, and those abilities are really loved here. The only non-synergy in the deck is Waste Not's drawing and Ensnaring Bridge, but it shouldn't be a damper because the draw usually puts you to one card in hand late game, which is only a problem if Splinter Twins has access to Exarch. Regardless, it's a fun build with a lot of power, definitely playable.
It's simple, yet difficult to pilot. The concept is to get your opponents resources to their graveyard, and burn them out with a combination of The Rack and Shrieking Affliction. Cards like Ensnaring Bridge and Small Pox let you control the board to a degree, and Waste Not and Liliana of the Veil allow you to progress your interests.
