Thanks for the advice :) I've actually built this deck for a standard pauper tournament that me and some buddies are playing this weekend. So unfortunately I have to keep it standard (I know the rotation will mess with all of that but the original date for the games day got moved).

I'll pop your standard legal suggestions in the sideboard (particularly like the idea of a playset of Doom Blade), play test them and I'll report back :)

Interesting idea, I'll be playing some Magic with friends over the weekend so will see what it's like in casual play. Have you built this deck in RL?

Would you take a look at my Pauper Mill? http://www.mtgvault.com/tojunn/decks/beware-the-doorkeeper/

I'd love to know what you think.

Thumbs up, you have my like. Cheap, efficient mill :)

Have you thought about adding Crypt Incursion for some life gain in longer games? It'll protect (a bit) against graveyard recursion too.

I think i'm going to build this deck tonight and play around with it. Considering the price, great job!

Nice Pauper Deck, I've tried building a few recently and it's tough! You get my like.

My only suggestion is perhaps run some Crypt Incursion, that'll help you gain enough life to outlast longer games. Plus it exiles a big chunk of their graveyard so provides some protection against graveyard recursion.

Not sure that's entirely true. Without the counter spells this deck is wide open for mass removal and vulnerable to detention sphere etc. - just trying to shore it up against different lines of attack.

Thanks for commenting though :) Just out of interest, if you removed the control, what else would you put in?

Thanks for taking a look and commenting. I'll try making the subs that you suggest. My Warden of the Wall and Wall of Tanglecord can both hit flying (under the right conditions...) but I have a couple of Giant Spiders with reach I can sub in - low mana cost too! I'll have a play with a few different configurations over the weekend & figure out what to do regarding the sideboard. I've made another deck which I'll be posting soon, I'd be grateful if you'd take a look! Thanks again.
