Gamer64 is absolutely right... It's TARGET of spell... The spell doesn't actually have to land, therefore spellskite doesn't save illusions.
You don't have to use it on illusions. You can use it on lord of the unreal early it is a decent blocker as well. saves him from Doom Blade, and such.
No pants is right, Its there so they cant kill the lord of the unreal, then you get out the image and boom, nps.
