I saw this a long time ago somewhere. I teaked it a tad. I tend to have (well, when I used to play a long long time ago) certain cards that I and my friends always had in the deck. Deck staples. Demonic tutor, regrowth, Maze of Ith, fork (Which I got in a kick ass trade at a convention), berserk (Same convention, different kick ass trade), Sol ring, and the assorted moxes and lotus. I only choose the colors I need for the moxes. The rest of the deck is designed to really annoy, and antagonize and lock up your opponent to the point where they cant do anything but cry. It is quite annoyoing. It is a bit land weak, but when you have mana birds, llanowar elves, tinder wall and assorted artifacts that bring in the mana it works. Just in case, I threw in some kobolds. who doesn't like 0 casting cost creatures? Believe me though. Even without the kobolds, this deck hurts. I also realize that due to the rule changes I may have missed in the past several years I missed, that this deck may not be useable in todays tournaments. Play with a proxy and see what else you can do with it to make it legal and have some fun. Its really all about the fun... and the can of whoop ass you inflict on your friends. lol

seems absurbly expensive to the point of insanity. Not to mention its not even that great at what it does. There doesn't seem to be really any control in here.

Yeah, only flustration think is price of deck...but on Vintage, this is useless.
Just print out the proxys and have fun with it. I am not telling you to spend 4000 bucks on a deck. The whole point of the game is to have fun and pass some time. And collect. All I am saying is have some fun. try it out and see what you can do to make it better. Learn to play this deck first, but try it out. I played this deck for about 5 years before I stopped playing 15 years ago. And it played very well. If after you play it and feel it needs something else, help me build it a bit better. Offer some suggestions instead of "yeah it sucks and its expensive". Since I haven't played in so long, what can I do to make it more legal? etc. Thank you.
First, please excuse my english, it is not my native language :D.Sure, you are right. Community need solidarity and fun, not only "bla bla it sucks" ;-). So...you play casualy with friend not tournaments. Ok. If you quit years ago, you need refresh rules (phases, combat damage,manaburn,etc.etc.). Not becose of some judge, but for right play ;-).To deck (only my opinion, but have some experiements with Vintage tournaments)Get out: 2 disenchantsRighteousness (it is useless)Kobolds (yeah, thei are fun and fo 0 cost...but today, most of creatures for 0 or 1 cost are sooo much better.F.e. Memnite and some others...Tinder wall is useless too. If you play it like "I have few lands and opponent is sick becose of Manabarbs and Power surge" you need more lock card like Corrupted Roots or somethink like this (dont remember names) :)And you need some control. Force of Will and some others counters. And some card advantage (draw a cards).If you play Berserk, try it with Ball Lightning!! Is 12 damage for 4 mana cost, so it is very nice and effective. Or Ball lightning->giant grow->Berserk and it is 18 damage in one turn :)...Or, if you want Kobolds, add some global strenght card like Overrun, Banners Raised or Glorious Anthem :)Hope, I dont broke feeling of deck....Have a nice day and play :)
That is a very helpful comment. I will look into these cards. The berserk, ball lightning, giant growth and fork which you missed is in my ball lightning deck. Its one I have listed here. Thank you so much for your input.
