I agree. Honestly I would just add Darksteel Citadel, remove Cloudpost, and keep this modern, but since it's already legacy, that's a good idea.
fanatical firebrand is better than raging goblin.
terminate, fatal push, bedevil and kolaghan's command would be good removal. also, disenchanted is right, lightning bolt and claim to fame would work great.
due to the size of these decks, rakdos's return would be a great late game finisher.
dispatch would do wonders.

It does give you creature advantage, but neither of them are very impressive. I agree.

Bloodbraid Elf would be a great curve-topper as it represents decent stats and can get you anything from your deck free, increasing your board state significantly and forcing your opponent to take some serious damage or use two cards to deal with your one.
I love it.
the rack would help shrieking affliction as another simultaneous win condition. its less than a dollar, so there's no reason not to mainboard it.

I think that 6 mana is far too much for a card that could very well end up doing nothing, so i would remove both mirror marches for a better curve topper such as experimental frenzy.
This looks savage as hell. Banefire could be a good curve-topper.
Steel Leaf Champion is a must.
liliana of the dark realms would work well, if it's not too much money.
