yeh interesting choices for creatures, u just lacking in early pressure which caw blade used to have with birds. swords also cant equip images because it kills the image which makes me think thats a interesting choice...

well, i hope you saw i have the midnight haunting what makes some pressure. also, the caw blade without SF Mystic didn't do anymore in the beginning. t1 and t2 i use to ponder and counter.

and the not equipable images aren't a problem. they are just so great, i had to play them. copying snapcaster mage (who by the way is a creature i can equip), sun titan or opponent creatures for 2 mana is just great.

the other creature choices are simple. titan as finisher, because he brings back snapcaster, image, oblivion ring etc, snapcaster to bring back midnight haunt, a counter or just whatever you want.

hmm good points. i do like the snap caster, and midnight haunting does definately help. how do u feel about alternative swords rather then just 4 of FaF or do u feel FaF is just that much stronger? and with midnight haunting. do u feel it would always be a 4 of or is the activation cost to restrictive?

sorry to ask so many questions :p i just like the deck :)

also if u wouldnt mind having a quick look at my pod list and seeing what ya think and any advice?

i like the FaF more, because it gives me card advantage and a tempo boost. SoWaP just helps in damage races (when both players attack unblocked all the time) and SoBaM has this totally unusual mill ability, that even helps player in the new set (snapcaster, self-mill, zombies, flashback, ...)

an other thing is the protection. surely, it matters what deck your opponents play, but overall b/g is the best portection in my opinon, because black has removal and green the best creatures.

i play actually 3 midnight haunting, but i have to test it longer. 2-3 should be good in any case.

by the looks of it when u build the sideboard it might be worth adding a SoWaP as if you look at the top 8 of starcity standard from this weekend just gone the top 8 decks being:
Mono Red 1st placees
Mono Red 2nd place
U/W Illusions 3rd place
U/W Blade 4th place
U/W Aggro 5th place
Tempered Steel 6th place
Tempered Steel 7th place
Solar Flare 8th place

with all those decks but two being very very agro its probibly quite representitive of how standards gone be for a lil while untill it stablises. and WaP is just guna do some much more against mono red

on the other hand if u compare yours and the W/U blade deck that came 4th possible things to think about would be geist, consecrated sphinx and possibly even hero of blade hold. as if he picks up a sword and isnt delt with he can just win on his own.

heres the list http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=41089

I agree with everything in this deck except for the feeling of dread... if it were me, I would run another dismember and 2 timely reinforcements. You're deck likes the tokens and the timely helps counteract the dismembers loss of life.

-3 Feeling of Dread

Why are so many people running Moorland Haunt with around 10 or less creatures in their decks? And decks that run SUN TITAN??

Drop all four Moorland Haunts, you're never going to use them. Ever. Use the other dual land and/or Inkmoth Nexuses for utility.

All of those tokens are going to get creamed by Ratchet Bomb. I was considering using Midnight Haunting to fulfill the role of the sword carriers in my U/W, but until the Bomb cycles out it's just to easy to get rid of them.

I would run another Sun Titan, as well. Two is sa-sweeeet!

I hope this helps! This is going to be a HUGE deck-type in standard, you just have to get the balance right!

yeh, i also thought about it and found that it should be max 2 haunts in the deck. i'm going to test during this week.
and the thing about the bomb seems true, too. never thought about this...

-2 Moorland Haunt
(-1 Plains)
(-1 Island)
-1 Midnight Haunting
+4 Seachrome Coast
+1 Invisible Stalker (don't know whats better)
