Undying evil instead of skull rend is a great idea. I'll put it in. Thanks!

Does braid of fire work for anything but casting instants during your upkeep? I believe the new rules on mana pool and mana burn make it so your mana pool empties at the end of each phase or step...is that what you intended?

Also, I could use some help with my gate deck. Just click on my name and check it out. I only have three decks online, it will be obvious.
Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions! I totally forgot about Hippie Spectors...it's been too long since I've used them. Many of your other suggestions are either too expensive from a mana perspective or too expensive from a budget ($$) perspective. I added a few of the cards to the sideboard, although I don't play with a traditional sideboard. I use the sideboard area as a placeholder for alternate cards as I tune the deck. What do you think of the changes?

I'm trying to use this deck in a multiplayer format, and I think my biggest hurdle is going to be staying alive long enough to get cards like Liliana's Caress and Megrim out before the other players realize what kind of deck I'm playing and target me. :-)

Should I mix in some dark rituals to speed things up, and if so, what do I take out?
I really appreciate your help.

BTW, I could also use some help with my gate deck. I only have 3 decks, so it shouldn't be hard to find.
I'm trying to make it run a little faster.

This gave me some great ideas for an Elemental deck idea I was struggling with. Thanks for introducing me to some cards I was unaware existed. I'm not ready to post mine yet, but it's definitely going to have some of the cards you've introduced me to. Mixing in Tyrant of Discord and/or Malignus could be fun! Thanks again!
