Deck Description

Why would you only tap it once, if you can tap it twice? Why would you only come (into play) once if you can come (into play) twice? Everything is better when you double it, everything is better in a threesome.

How to Play

The problem I see with mostly all Triad of Fates deck, is that mostly everybody is focused on 2 things:
1. Copy'ing the Fates ability or untapping them.
2. Enter the battlefield effects.

Most people forget about all the other awesome cards that can be tapped for a sweet effect. If you are playing untap/copy cards, why not include more tap-potential then just your general? Because remember, everything is better when you have more then one!

Deck discussion for Threesome EDH

Good deck, but I think you got mixed up on one part, the Triad of Fates's ability is a mana ability, not a triggered ability, so stuff like Strionic Resonator, or Illusionists Bracers won't work on it. Also Restoration Angel is great for this deck.

Nope, mana abilities are abilities that produce mana. Such as Llanowar Elves or Birds of Paradise.

Restoration Angel is a bit to expensive for me T_T Really want it though!

Really? I was sure a mana ability is an ability that costs mana... well that shows I'm a noob :P. But stuff like cloudshift that can blink the Triad are kinda cheap I guess..

I built a very similar deck to this, and after viewing yours, will make a few changes. I had completely missed strionic resonator, which is a must given the number of ETB creatures I use.

The other is pentarch paladin - another amazing card with Triad.

That said, I do think you've missed a few sitters - Angel of Serenity is awesome lockdown, especially when you can regularly flicker it. But you have so much tap destroy stuff, prob not necessary. Faceless Butcher and Fiend Hunter work nicely, as u can exile their commander, then flicker ur creature to re-exile it. Rune-scarred demon works nicely also, letting you tutor for whats needed.

This does look very nice though, good job!

If you get a chance, I'd appreciate any input into my Triad deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/olafbiggles/decks/triad-of-fates-edh/

Thanks for the comment! I actually googled your deck before I started on this one, it helped me a lot getting started. :)

I'm not sure about cards that bring return opponent cards back into play when they leave themselves. Might be fun to keep their General exiled, but a simple destruction spell from their side and their General is back. But I'll think about it :)

the problem with a sinmple desctruction spell vs a triad deck is the fact that triad's flicker can be used as an interupt, and save the creature being targetted.

I think the reasoning is off a bit here as well, since most players when getting their general exiled will choose to return it to the command zone ready to be replayed. After they play it again, the flicker lets you take that general away using the same card, effectively rendering their general unusable. So whereas a destruction spell might kill their general, a fiend hunter can exile it, then exile it again and again.

There is also an infinite life combo inherent in this, as multiple creatures with this type of ability allow infinite entering of the battlefield, which triggering a soul warden can give infinite life.

That's the reasoning I've used to include fiend hunter, faceless butcher and the like.

That sounds rather interesting :O Never thought about it like that! It really sounds legit. I'll try it out as soon as I've thought what to remove for those kind of cards.
