I updated the description for you. Yeah I really think they should have kept that rule in place it really made thinking about construction a little more nuanced in my opinion. I might try to make this into Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis deck seeing as much of the core of mine mirrors the Stalwart Unity deck.

Well you are right but for the wrong reason.
Originally Rule 4 stated: "A deck may not generate mana outside its colours. If an effect would generate mana of an illegal colour, it generates colourless mana instead."

As of January 2016 Rule 4 was removed so the color Identity lock that celestial dawn did is no longer a valid tactic. ;_;

The Mardu charm is good but I feel that in this case Crackling Doom would suit the deck better since it hits the player and has a chance to remove something nasty from the field. The charm doesn't really burn...

Thanks for the response, some of my friends said to run with about 35 - 40 lands and I have noticed its my typical build style to run a deck lean its a bad habit and I figured the dual lands were a must but I'm lacking in that dept currently. As for the detrimental gifts this is what I had to work with... I have been looking at other zedruu decks and have "some idea" of what to get/look for and have a wish list going. just gonna take time to tune it

Extirpate might be nice instead of Surgical Extraction

since your mana fixing seems fairly decent try taking 1 Smokebraider and llanowar out to put ashlings in.

mind sculpt, chronic flooding and psychic spiral might do well in this deck, they happened to be in my hand when i pulled this up lol.

Well its gruul colors but where be the blood rush????
Ghor-clan Rampager might be a good addition in place of your baloths
then you could mix it up and drop trample on unsuspecting victims. XD

Yeah elves and villagers should be easier to come by than what is in the side board cheaper to. lol
it played great with side board in there but yeah like i said $$$ and I have few if any trade worthy cards
