Deck discussion for O'er Hell and Hide

<_<

Vintage Iso-Seek? I'm definitely interested in how this works for you.

Already tested it XD It does exactly what one would expect from such debauchery, but unlike in Legacy, Sacrament is the absolute balls here. It rips decks apart so beautifully

I can imagine Sacrament becoming drastically better in this environment...glad to see I was right. I'm surprised to see you don't have Yawg main deck. I think in this design, it would bring about the insane shenanigans that Yawg is infamous for =]

You'd think that, but I actually moved it to the board after testing 0_o This is the first vintage deck I've made other than Workshop that can't make use of the brokenness so easily.

What would a counter-Vintage deck look like? Stifle-Nought with Gemstone Caverns, and FOURce of Wills?

If by counter you mean permission based control, my previous Jace deck suits that role quite well. Generally StifleNought is considered weak in Vintage, as the only creatures you see are generally utility, or something you tinkered out.(Inkwell Leviathan or Blightsteel usually)

I was being dumb, thinking you could target mana ability's :S

Ah, for dealing with the speed of Vintage I actually do have something. And I would love it if Stifle could target mana abilities, I'd have a playset in all of my decks XD

Oh Stax, how I love thee.

Chalice for zero does it. I've been playing around with MUD a bit lately, and collecting cards for a budget Stax build. I almost only need the Stacks! Have you seen mon decklist?

I just played at my first PTQ, Innistrad sealed, and went 5-3. I won four rounds in a row with this weird Jund deck. It was fun.

@_@ Preator's Grasp on Yawg Win... Dear God, this could actually become a thing!

That's what I was talking about before...I guess I should elaborate when I notice things =P

It made a Storm player hate me I think, because I did a turn one Lotus into the Grasp; he wasn't to happy that he actually had to play his deck XD

And I can't believe I didn't think of that instantly though, I've been using them out of the sideboard so I know I don't miss.

And I have actually done that Dag, it's great for CA, but generally I find myself imprinting Mana Drain and just countering everything XD

Always good to screw with Storm players. Storm, and no offense to those who like it, is to me the embodiment of everything I truly hate about competitive Magic...

You're preaching to the pope man, I only play it because I'm tired of having to see Goblins...
The main reason I can stand to build Doomsday is because of the fact that every game you pretty much have to build your pile on spot.

WnB, i made a proxy of this deck I liked it so much and it's sick. But what if your Blighsteel gets O-ringed? Do you just mill them out or is there another win condition I'm not seeing??

Well here's the thing, in Vintage almost nobody plays O-Ring. The big concern would actually be Swords to Plowshares. Shocking as it might sound(especially for vintage), I've actually Jaced people to death. Once I set up infinite turns with Time Vault and Voltaic Key, I've pretty much won.

That and I usually have plenty of counter support for Blightsteel, but there have already been times that he has gotten hit with StP.
