thrumming stone and dark ritual are both important for this deck. My brother has a relentless rats deck with only 5 different cards.
1.swamp
2.dark ritual
3.thrumming stone
4.coat of arms
5. relentless rats

an ideal hand gets a win by turn 4
turn 1: swamp
turn 2: swamp, 2x dark ritual. thrumming stone
turn 3: swamp, relentless rats, start thrumming.
turn 4: you should have enough rats out for the kill. if not, then you got REALLY unlucky.

Thanks for the help. I probably wont add the equipment, reason being they are cards which can't always be used. I really don't have room for congregate, wish I did, but I don't. The angels I dont think fit in to the life gain as well as I need them to. Other than that, great suggestions guys. Keep'em coming!

This deck is the best saproling deck that I've ever seen. A great card for this deck would be tribal unity. Throw in essence warden for more life gain, and add in Garruk for an recurring overrun effect and untaps.
