Deck Description

Mardu Knight Equipment

Basic grab bag of good equipment and knights and cards that have a lot of synergy with equipment and knights.

Work in progress, with some budget decisions. Will evolve as I find better cards, decide to purchase upgrades. Sideboard reflects cards I'm considering, or took out recently.
Can't figure out how to add basic lands.

How to Play

Voltron ftw (give the commander a bunch of equipment then swing)
There are a few specific Equipment Spells on this list that make 21 Commander Damage easy. Stack up the better equipment on Gwyn, throw out a few knights that give buffs, and prioritize giving her double strike, spell evasion, and unblockable effects, and keep in mind that with some clever play Menace on its own is enough to guarantee damage. With proper set up, a well timed Day of Judgement or Single Combat can give you an easy win with Gwyn.

Beyond the Gwyn Yolo, the main deck is designed to mass knights and equipment, allocate equipment as the situation calls and swing smart. Don't be afraid to shuffle things around if you've got the mana for it. Fight for board control with the removal options in the deck, get damage in when you can with combat evasion effects like flying, and force difficult trades. The goal is to wear opposing resources down and set up for a final charge with Gwyn that should help you draw into what you need (usually more consistent draw power). Keep in mind you'll need to attack to draw off of Gwyn, which can be inconsistent, especially if your knights keep getting pwned by blockers, and it'll cost you some life, making it a strain in the late late game. This means the deck is without much consistent card draw, especially in the early game, so its important to conserve resources and aim for high value trades. Do your best to hold on till the late game and build a decent board state. Consider holding low costed equipment, that isn't particularly impactful in a given situation, in case Puresteel Paladin or Sram Senior Artificer come up for maximum value. Any artifact searching effects should prioritize draw effects like Skullclamp, Infiltration Lens, or even Sword of the Animist in a pinch, otherwise Erebus, Binding Blade, Colossus Hammer, and Whispersilk Cloak can often be win conditions outright.

Not exactly rocket appliances but don't forget that you'll still be paying equipment costs in the early game. Don't look like a dummy and lose control of the game early on because you prioritized casting a bunch of equipment you can't use over creatures.
