Deck Description

I've always had a love for artifacts, and my favorite playstyle is what I would call "tap-out control" where I use different locks to make it difficult for the opponent to do anything against me while I have an inevitable win condition in the thopter-sword combo. Whir of Invention and Fatal Push have given the deck new life as reactive catch-all answers to the current metagame. The unbanning of Sword of the meek meant we didn't need any other win condition, and ensnaring bridge is an amazing card that wins us so many games.

How to Play

Play ensnaring bridge asap.
Hide behind it while finding the thopter-sword combo with any combination of whir of invention, tezzeret, glint-nest crane, etc until we can just stall and win with a lot of 1 power flyers in the air.

Deck discussion for Modern Tezzeret

This is just 1 iteration of the deck that I'd like to try.
I think that running pentad prisms and welding jars could really help whir become better, but I'm not entirely certain that's what I need in the deck. However, the lack of 1 mana discard and no serum visions does mean talismans are worse, and it also could mean moving chalice into the maindeck.
Also need to add 2 Ghost Quarter main so that with the sideboard I could hit 4 against tron considering that's by far our worse matchup.

Yeah Tezzeret decks are quite expensive unfortunately, but it's because most of the cards in the deck are great in the fomat as a whole as opposed to only being expensive for this one archetype, so they would keep their value even if you don't continue to play a Tezzeret deck
