Even with the 8x dual lands, I feel like Strangleroot into Messenger is going to be tough to pull off. I personally would swap the 4x Strangleroots for 4x Lotleth. I've also been playing around with Bioshift and the Messenger to get him out again.

i think i yould rather play diregraf ghoul instead of vile rebirth. ghoul can be used turn one and does not require a creature in a graveyard. deathrite shaman already provides graveyardhate and you dont want to starve your shaman of targets in the graveyards... vile rebirth has some kind of anti-synergy with shaman.also: swap strangleroot for lotleth troll. its the core of every B/G zombie deck with gravecrawler.
