Deck Description

This is my take on the Commander Deck Evasive Maneuvers. This deck focuses a lot on exiling permanents and returning them, so most of the cards have an enter the battlefield ability. As well as tapping and untapping creatures for control and abilities. I like Derevi, Empyrial Tactician as my general mainly because she has a static mana cost to return her to the battlefield as well as being able to cast her at instant speed for an emergency blocker. Her abilities are pretty good as well for board control. Let me know what you think this is my first EDH deck. I used this Commander Deck as a base because I like Bant and the mechanic.

Deck discussion for Bant bag of tricks EDH

I've always been interested in Derevi and own the precon deck myself (just haven't gotten around to doing anything with it). The biggest thing I planned on doing was abusing his ability and adding things that either "come into play tapped" or "don't untap during your next turn" type of deal.
Mana Vault, Stonehewer Giant and Stoneforge Mystic if you happen to go more equipment of course, Order of Whiteclay, Freed from the Real, Thawing Glaciers, Lux Cannon.
Those are just a few off of the top of my head. My take on this deck is just to abuse Derevi's abilities.
Also I would recommend some mass removal like Wrath of God and Austere Command.

Thanks for the tips I have added Order of Whiteclay, Thawing Glaiers, and Lux Cannon. Now I just need to get them. I tried to keep a good balance between blink and tap manipulations and think I did a pretty good job with that so I always have some type of trick to pull out of the bag. Thanks for the comment.

This is a really amazing deck. I love all of the enter the battlefield effects. maybe a thran dynamo instead of the basalt monolith, having it untap during your untap phase makes a big difference.

definitely going to have a new list of cards for my Derevi now!

Thanks for the comment. I just added Thran Dynamo it really is good and I don't have to worry about wasting an untap from Derevi to use it again. I just added Doubling Season and 2 more Planeswalkers because I just found out that Doubling Season will have the Planeswalker enter the battlefield with twice as many loyalty counters on it. So if I play Ajani, Mentor of Heros with Doubling Season in play instead of 4 loyalty he will have 8 instantly gaining 100 life. So OP.

I really like it! Cannot suggest much, but I can say for sure that fighting this deck would be a one helluva pain in the arse.
Maybe you could fit in Plasm Capture, since it is a really handy counterspell especially in EDH.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at the deck. Yeah my friends do have a hard time fighting me. They get so frustrated that I can do so much for so little.

What would you recommend I take out to add in Plasm Capture?

Hmph...
Oppressive Rays is maybe the first card to come in mind.

Yeah, I found another suggestion for you! Return to Dust could work better here than Fade into Antiquity.
