I like it! I built a similar deck, but used "Redirect" instead of Counterspell. Is counterspell standard?

i REALLY like this deck Mr. Ape!! this seems wicked fun to play.
neither Counterspell or Preordain is standart... your deck seems a little traditional, u might wanna change u'r adaptive automaton into grand architect, as it buffs Lord of unreal as well as u'r illusions, both ponder, think twice and especially gitaxians probe are great alternatives for preordain. as for counterspell, i would bring in 1 steel hellkite, 1wurmcoil engine, and 2 dessipate.. the artifact goes well with the architect. A turn 3 wurmcoil is not impossible... with a little luck, u might even have an image to copy it with in turn 4. U might wanna reconsitter cutting the amount of dragons. Btw images are awesome vs. elesh norn, thrun, the last troll etc.
Great suggestions thank you. I like this one alot better. I added two hellkites and one wurmcoil cuz i need some late game power that can help me win if it lasts that long without giving up my counter ability. I love how its standard now. Appreciate it
