I would nix the Test Pilot and go with Staticasters. In addition, use some stupidly high cost spells to feed into Blast of Genius. 10+ dmg to the face is nothing to sneeze at!

Also, Id consider searing spear over pitfight in this deck. spear is better since your creatures have low power.

Well...after review...Id side deck swords and main deck path. Sometimes its better to give them life over land.

Ive thought about building with it, but using grixis as opposed to dimir seems a little weak in the current meta game. I could always spend some cash and make a good modern deck though...but if I was doing that why not simply use things like Glimpse the Unthinkable...

Why not Swords to Plowshares?

Interesting. I play against a buddy that ran Kaalia and usually I don't have too much of a problem. The key is to keep that blasted cleric off of the battle field as long as possible. If I can do that, and I can get my draw power moving, I usually win. In a pinch I can use Cyclonic Rift to get rid of her and I also sport some counters, though I do like to save those to pull off my big combos.

Have you thought about Cyclonic Rift. It works pretty darn well in my experience.

Very nice if you can afford the mana...and then afford it again. I end up playing decks that are generally in the lower half of the cmc range (unless im building edh). Check them out if you like. =)
