Another card, that no one mentions and use to devastate opponents, is Firestorm.
+1
I like what you are trying to do, here.

Liliana of the Veil is an auto include if you have her and a full set of Bob's is also optimum, (I get it if you dont have 'em, I've only got 3 myself).
One thing that concerns me a little is the self-inflicted damage potential of this deck. With all that fetch, shock, seize and Bob damage lurking it looks a little like you are setting yourself up with a -5 life disadvantage in every game, (scary in a format as quick as Modern).
Considering you should never drop a land sideways in this deck maybe replace a few Shock lands with Check or Tap lands, (Dragonskull Summit, Copperline Gorge)?
Maybe Inquisition over Thoughtseize, (in Modern it is practically as good early and equally bad late without the life loss involved)?

For some more budget minded options available:
Monastery Swiftspear has played incredibly strong in a budget build, (and in pretty much every other Modern legal deck), I run. With Loam running and all the Retrace you have I can see it being really strong in here.
I have also played Darkblast before and it kind of sucks. You are far better off with the 4th Faithless Looting to feed Loam and Retrace.

Your SB options also seem a little weird but I assume they are keyed towards your local meta...

thank you for the comment! yes i do need lilianas and 2 more bob's, i was basically building this out of cards in hand. ive had some trouble with twin and scapeshift, which is why the SB has control hate and why i have the thoughtseize. the darkblast really hose soul sisters, delver, and some other decks filled with weenies, but it is probably a better SB card. i did make some mana base changes, i cut 3 shocklands for some friendlier lands. i need the fetches to help put lands in the graveyard, although i am considering running more basics to let me use the blood moons more freely

Really diggin this!

I think i would drop Raven's crime down to 2 though, and switch Thoughtseize to Inquisition of Kozilek. Also i would try to do a little more with your lands. With 4 Loams in your deck you want to be able to take advantage of that. I would try to add Ghost Quarter, Tectonic Edge, and at least 1 man land. I prefer Raging Ravine because it's most on color for the deck, and it's a pretty decent threat on it's own.

Not sure about cutting the Raven's Crime as it is so powerful as recurring disruption and can destroy an opposing deck by itself but I totally agree about the recycling Ghost Quarter, just make sure not to add too many non color producing lands as they will hurt your tempo as early draws.

i will admit some fear over running ghost quarters and tec edge, i really want to get seismic assault out as early as possible. i feel i need it out fast enought to get around control. i am open to ideas though. i feel ravens crime and flame jab help to trigger pyromancer

In an ideal world you Crime their hand away, Jab and Assault their critters and swarm with all those Elementals, (in that order)...

i wouldn't be afraid of running colorless lands. With 8 fetches and most of your lands producing red anyways i wouldn't worry about running 2 tectonic edges and 1 ghost quarter or vise versa. besides life from the loam can be it's own win-con with these cards. also i agree with running the raging ravine. also add a 1 of treetop village.

So i did a lot of toying with the mana base last night, really trying to get it viable to consistently turn 3 the seismic assault. adding the raging ravine for a manland. hopefully you guys like the improvement!

Any tri-color Modern deck is going to need a lot of tinkering with the mana base so don't feel bad about that!

I like Ravine a lot and play it in several decks I have but I am not 100% sure it fits in here because of the high activation cost in a deck that otherwise runs on 3 lands in play. My question is, at what point will you have Ravine and 4 other lands in play to activate it? Maybe if you were playing Birds, (a totally different build), or going flat out aggro with Assault as a tail end combo but maybe not in a control build like this...
I was thinking about running a solitaire Inkmoth Nexus in one of my builds but that would require me to take out a Ghost Quarter or Tec Edge and I'm not sure I even want to do that because of the way either one of them destroys Tron and can cripple control and other tri-color decks like Jund, (all are types you will run into).
That said, I have not played Ravine in any Assault Loam decks so my observations are not based on experience.

I do have to say though that not playing 4 Looting is a mistake. It is such a crucial card to feed your engines, (especially as you don't have the full set of Bobs), that I would not dream about running this without all 4.
Just my 2 cents...

Other then that I think it looks really good and you should take most any meta by surprise and rack up a nice win record before everyone starts hating on you!

thank you for the advice! i feel there are so many paths i can go with this build, but i agree, going up to 4 faithless looting. i found after playtesting last night that i rarely used raging ravine, its just 2 lands more than i want in play. i want to buy 2 more bobs, just havent yet

Try 2 Ghost Quarter instead, I can pretty much guarantee you'll love what they will do for you!

Personally, I like the 4 colour (RWBG) so you can have knight of the relinquary and other nice white stuff! Hope that helps, but I'm ot really up with lands decks unless it is tron!

I don't like Nyx-Fleece Ram at all, but i do like the addition of white. I think you NEED to add Monastery Mentor when it comes out. That card is insane, and essentially gives you 8 Pyromancers.

Nyx Fleece is bad but monastery mentor will be interesting, I'm not 100% it will make modern

Are you kidding me? LOL. It will see Legacy play. It's that good. That card is INSANE. A group of us have started testing a few new cards on Cockatrice already, and i gotta tell you. That guy is completely ridiculous.

I've been testing it too, I'd love to see him doing legacy/modern work but the pros I've read always seem to say 'just standard' but its likely if it can knock young pyromancer off the top seat- revised, I'm talking rubbish, just saw Carsten Kotter say it was 'Better than true-name nemesis'
