Deck Description

I would like to first say that I play magic casually, though I do know a lot about the Modern/Legacy decks. I like to find a card and make a deck around it, or make a deck around a common theme, usually on a decently low budget, though it didn't really happen this time because of so many staple cards that were needed. Anyways, this time I choose to build a deck around Coalition Victory! To get a land of each type, I use Prismatic Omen or Nylea's Presence. For a permanent of each color I run Scuttlemutt and Transguild Courier.

How to Play

The idea is pretty simple. Play Coalition Victory to win. Again, you need a Nylea's Presence or a Prismatic Omen, and a Transguild Courier or Scuttlemutt. To get one mana of each color I run Crystal Quarry (which honestly isn't overly necessary), Composite Golem (which also is a bit of the mana acceleration because you can sac this and pay only 3 mana) and the most preferable Bloom Tender.

For defense I run 4 Tangle and 2 Spirit Resistance, along with 2 Gaea's Touch for mana acceleration. These 8 cards can easily be swapped out based on personal preference (maybe even a Door to Nothingness or two with Kaleidostone!).

Man this is unlike anything I've seen ha ha i am not sure how to even comment on this very unique man I like what i see a lot. Very cool concepts ha ha ha lmfao that Transguild Courier + Spirit of Resistance you could like make an entire deck around this concept alone extremely dirty deck ha ha ha so cool I wish i had the cards to try this out i think i would try it out a little

I agree. I don't have these cards, I just enjoy making fun deck lists that I haven't seen before and posting them. If the deck is cheap enough I'll order the cards (on tcgplayer.com cause its the cheapest I find). Bloom Tenders and Prismatic Omens are a little too rich for my blood but are necessary for the deck in my opinion.

Haha, its true. All they would have to do though is kill my Scuttlemutt or Transguild courier and its GG for this deck. If I don't have those or Prismatic Omen/Nylea's Presence what am I gonna do? Beatdown with Composite Golems and Bloom Tenders? I might add some hexproof giving cards, mainly Asceticism, to prevent this.

Thats actually what I was kind of thinking though, making a new deck completely around Spirit of Resistance though. I'll probably look into it.

It would give you the ability to do somuch for your deck both with the speed of mana ramp like using the active abilities to dump the combo out faster and you can even get instant hex proof hehe

The double white is a little hard to do for the kor wirewalker. I would need Prismatic Omen or scuttlemutt+Nylea's Presence or something like that. At which point its a little late. I like the idea for lightning greaves though. Its much cheaper mana cost wise than ascetisism and they are worth about the same money-wise. I'll put ascetisism and lightning greaves on the sideboard!

i know kor firewalker is not really reasonable for your deck but any chance of remembering the look on the guys face that was playing a mono red cheese deck lol i've never seen such sadness in a tournament LOl lmao but as far as the actual point i was trying to make about the lightning greaves it is 2 mana and you can equip isntantly the second you play a creature i think it is a more reasonable choice than ascetisism the 5 mana costing isn't exactly practical i mean the lighting greaves costs 2 and you only need 2 protect the 1 really so if you are gonna buy them probably pick up the lightning greaves instead it can help you instantly add another mana also with ur scuttlemutt speeding ur next turn up

It definitely is more reasonable. The reason for putting asceticism on the side as well is because it protects all of my creatures instead of just one and I can regenerate my creatures. I also have the possibility of the super mana ramp from Bloom Tender if I get transguild courier and scuttlemutt to help me regen and play Asceticism. If I had to choose one it would be lightning greaves for sure though!

i also would maybe consider main decking those greaves you have both the scuttlemutt and the blood tender the mana you can instantly acquire with the greaves allowing haste would bring your decks speed up a notch just a thought lol

I'll give it a shot. Like I said in the description, the 4 Tangles, 2 Gaea's Touch, and 2 Spirit Resistance could be brought out based on personal preference. I'd probably get rid of the 4 Tangles, but as for the main deck I'd rather keep the theme more consistent for the main deck. So no hexproof shenanigans unless I need it against the decks I play against, then I'll start to main deck it.
