Assasinate is unnecessary, you prefer Death mark, doom blade or smother because you'll rather put a Relentless rat instead of that.

I considered it that but I like the idea of being able to destroy the 'smaller' Eldrazi and any other large or troubling creatures as well as black creatures. I figure I'll be drawing rats as often as lands and so should be able to play one or two a turn. Hopefully I'll never really have to use the removal.
