IF you wanted the Battalion mechanic would synergize well with this deck. Battalion is a bonus granted to a creature when you attack with a total of 3 creatures. Battlefield Medic, firemane avenger, and Tajic, Blade of the Legion are the best in my opinion. Some good spells are Madcap Skills, Chained to the Rocks, Martial Glory, and Mizzium Mortars. Hope this helps!

Not bad, too bad you're a scrub. This deck cost $10.24 at TCG, so you can't buy it!

Nice deck! I play a very similar deck, and i know how well this deck works! Some cards to consider are Chain to the Rocks for cheap removal, Martial Glory, which provides as either a offensive or defensive boost, or Gideon, Champion of Justice, who in worst case, is a indestructible 4/4 for 4. Hope this helps!

Correct, but when you have casted X spells already then play Grapeshot, wouldn't you cast it, then it Ascension would copy it to deal 2*X damage total?

Pyromancer Ascension is a fantastic card in storm decks. It doubles card draws, mana producing cards, and halves the number of spells you need to play to kill someone with grapeshot.

Nice deck! Some other good cards you could add are
Chronic Flooding; mills whenever your opponent taps for mana
Jace, Memory Adept; mills 10 A TURN!
Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker, mills about 12 cards whenever it deals damage to a player
Haunting Echoes: Gets rid of repeats you already milled
Traumatize: Mills 1/2 a deck
Hope some of these suggestions help!

Thank you for the suggestions. I definitely agree with adding Banishing Light, but I do want this deck to be close to budget because I mostly play casual, so Hero's Downfall is stretching it. I swapped gaining lifelink to gaining death touch, I think that may play a bit better. I think i will keep two harden scales, it is pretty good under most circumstances with this deck. Thanks again!

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! I like the use of Prince of Thralls in your version, I didn't think of that!

ultimate price may help then, it deals with mono-colored creatures instead of nonblack

Maybe add a few doom blades or ultimate prices to help get rid of enemy creature threats?

Maybe substitute Glorious Anthem with Spear of Heliod? Although it being an artifact and an enchantment allows for it to be removed a bit easier, its removal abilities may make it worth it depending on who you are playing.

Thats a tough question! I would either swap out Slate Street Ruffian or Nightmare. Slate Street Ruffian is good, but is easily dealt with as its a 2/2, and Duress lets you see their hand, instead of letting them get rid of a useless card. Nightmare is good as well, but is expensive on the mana curve. Hopefully this helps!!

Could a Duress work to disrupt the enemy? It may be helpful to prevent being defeated in early parts of the game.

A Wall of Frost to slow down the enemy may work in this deck. Voyage's End also helps gain control of the board when the opponent sends out a big threat. Hopefully this helps a bit!!

Maybe add Mizzium Mortars for some burn, to handle defenders or other somewhat big threats? I would personally add a full set of Frontline Medics, they are good no matter when you draw them. Hopefully this helps!!
