Gotta say, I playtested the deck several times, and it did do pretty good :) Out of 5 games I won 3

*Note to others, the comments above are now null, because the deck has changed drastically since these were written

Guys does milling serve as a better form of controll than making opponents discard cards from their hands? For example, In most cases is a mind sculpt gonna hurt an opponent more than a duress (or something similar to duress)?

Fair point about the Mystic. I will cut the hero of Ioras down to one and introduce 2 more favored hoplites, but as for the swords to plowshares, I will moderate by removing one land and one centaur battlemaster. I will have two additional swords to shareplows in the sideboard however.

Thanks for the Review, I will implement these suggestions in a bit, and Also decide on the decks theme in the process

Thats a pretty nice point, I also checked out Puschkin's W/G lifegain deck and am considering to make mine a W/G with black splashed into it, like you are suggesting.

I like this deck. I am trying to build my own lifegain type deck so this is a nice reference point if I need, but I just don't get one thing. How come the anti-flying spells are in the mainboard, aren't they better in the sideboard? Tower defense does have a nice toughness boost, so that I can understand. And what do you think of Rhox Faithmender?

Do you guys think I should add an umbra mystic or two to make all my enchantments Totem armor? Or will this weaken the heroic part of the deck?

I will remove one hero of Ioras and/or something else, considering Hero of Ioras only makes my Armadillo cloak and Indrik umbra cheaper.

Alright dude, I see what you were thinking now, and that makes sense. As long as it works to your liking and things are fun, then you know things are going good!

Btw Granflux, thats a pretty neat deck of elementals you got there! Always interesting to see what kind of synergizing creature groups people can come up with

Okay so here is my version of what looks good for your lands.

4x Arcane Sanctum
3x Drowned Catacombs
2x Glacial Fortress
3x Temple of Silence
9x Islands

If you really wanted to keep the scry aspcet of things, you could always throw in a Mystic speculation or two, but that might weaken the core purpose of the deck.

I increased the number of Islands and decreased the number of Temple of scilences. The ammount of Islands you have will help you out with having the Drowned Catacombs and Glacial fortresses enter untapped, and even if they enter tapped, they still have that chance of not doing so. Hope this helps!

Pretty good deck man :) Now about those lands, they would be alright except most of them enter tapped, and in most cases I find when I am one mana away from excecuting a counteractive spell or a multi-color spell, a tapped land really is a pain in my but. So we should make ammends for this considering you want reliable timing and response as much as possible, without making it too expensive. Give me a moment as I formulate my version of your lands section

Thank you Nerddude345 and Granflux for helping me with this deck! I am going to proxy it today and play it as well. I'll mention how it goes and if you guys want me to check out a deck of yours, I may see what I can do.

SECAM deck? There are some abbreviations I haven't heard of it seems xD I'm guessing that the SECAM deck must be pretty powerful and that is why this PAL was made, to make it not so powerful?

Do you guys think I should remove the inspired guys and with them the Ephara's radiance? I can replace the latter with an additional exquisite blood
