A friend and I bantered over what the new sets offered. This is what we came up with. See below for the big trick. Mostly it's a heroic/aura deck that puts out big guys fast.
Mostly just build a big guy and kill. however.Originally this deck was built around an interaction between Forgotten Ancient and Sage of Hours. Forgotten Ancient not being legal in Modern slows the deck but doesn't totally neuter it.So, here's the god hand. Still needs some refining but this is basically it.Turn 1, Forest or Breeding Pool, HierarchTurn 2 Any Land*, Sage of Hours, Shimmering WingsTurn 3, Anything really including but not limited to Kor Spirit Dancer, any land*, Bounce Shimmering WingsTurn 4-1, Any Land*, Ajani, +1 Ajani on Sage of Hours, Swing for 7/7Flying (including Exalted). Remove counters from Sage take another turn.Turn 4-2, use Ajani on Sage, Recur Shimmering Wings on Sage 2 times, swing for 7/7 flying (or more at this point). Remove Counters from Sage and take another turn... you see where this is going.* of these "any land" 2 must produce U in order to maintain infinate combo via Shimmering Wing recursion.
