Needs mana elves: Llanowar Elves, Fyndhorn Elves, Arbor Elf, Priest of Titania, that sort of thing. Green has great (by which I mean cheap) mana acceleration. Use it.

Neat deck, but note that Myr Battlesphere is not an outlet for the "infinite" Myr-untapping combo (two Galvanizers and a Palladium). The Battlesphere's triggered ability only resolves once, giving you exactly one chance to tap Myr. Once you've tapped them, that's it, that's the value of X. Untapping them after that won't let you pump up the 'sphere any more.
What do you do if you don't draw an Archmage, or against burn? I'd be tempted to maindeck the Counterspells, and maybe use Thoughtcast. Or Skullclamp!
Leonidus: Mulliganning is important, but so long as I can access three mana things usually get up and running, and the deck can do well with many different combinations of cards. It makes it unpredictable but I like the variety. Surewhynot: Just another brick in the wall... Zanmor: I'd love to run 4 Academies (and Sol Rings), but my group - wisely, I think - abides by the Vintage restricted list. Adding blue would be wise but this is sort of a concept deck: I wanted to stick with artifacts (though three nonartifacts have slipped in due to how awesome they seem to me).
